I love her quote! That was totally both the voice of fandom,of writers & voice of truth! With Stefan Elena is happy, safe, stable... He's so good for her. But Damon can be more! But all these powerfull emotions, fragile balance between them can also detroy them... Even though I'm sure that their deep trust & understanding, their connection & passion, the way they challenge each other is something woderful, something that can overcome all obstacles.

it's rose' voice and the writers; who are trying to remain on as many shipper's good side as possible (which is why they keep yo-yo ing around between stelena and delena even mid episode). it reflects some of our fandom.

obviously both. they wrote what they know the majority feels becuz that's how they wrote the story 2 be refected so good job writers..we got it and damon making elena a stronger woman that chalenges herself could never be considered the worst thing in the world 4 her so that must make damon the best thing in the world 4 her!!
