I'm not sure if I like vampire elena yet ...

Neither. However, vampire Elena has been making me seethe with rage more often, but it's a little early to tell.

I feel that vampire Elena will turn out more "herself".
Human Elena that we met just lost her parents - Caroline said that before the accident she was much more fun, what's obvious. Then this whole vampire drama started & constantly someone was dying around her or someone tried to kill her, so she lived in pain & fear.
Now her emotions are hightend, also her need of having fun. She isn't so fragile anymore, so she doesn't need to be afraid so much. She finally isn't afraif to show some negative feelings she's been hiding. I'm glad the days of depressed Elena that whole world is trying to kill are over...

I think as a vampire she has grown to accept her self more and let go of the guilt and the self loathing she felt since her parents' death, and has grown to understand the world isn't absolute, and learns that sometimes she needs to be selfish and ruthless, but I don't think it had much to do with her becoming a vampire. It had everything to do with her growing up.
So I prefer her now, because she's much more accepting of herself and does not try to live up to anyone's expectations anymore. I picked human Elena because my ultimate wish for her is that she gets to have a normal human life with growing up, marrying, having kids, etc. but I do know it's impossible.
