I love both really. Delena is the reason I went to the books, and I fell in love with them there too. They mean a lot to me. After reading all the books including Midnight, the show has A LOT yet to come for Damon and Elena. In the books they are everything that makes a couple epic and memorable (for me anyway). They are incredibly sexy together in the books and extremely romantic and sweet at the same time.
If the TV series ends as LJ wanted her books to end, I will probably end up loving the show more.
