This is the first time I've ever voted for delena on anything. I'm team SE ALLL the freaking way. but i at least understand why people ship DE & they have scenes that i don't mind in a purely damon sided way (believe me, I really dislike the idea of them in a mutual relationship)
BUT bonnie and damon hate each other..thats a couple i don't really understand the appeal of

Both powwerfull ships though i dont really like DE i can not knock them the force is so powerfull that damon gives for her and the person he is for her and the way he looks at her is amazing it made me cry when he told her that he loved her amazing but however Bamon is my favrite ship they have so much hope eye sex and chemistry and i stand by them :)

well delena is not my favorite couple in fact I dislike them so much so I go for Bamon, because of the books and maybe because their scenes together are much fun that delena scenes and yeah thanks to delena fans the factor surprise it is not something that delena do, last chapter was so predictable, that it was boring, damon in love with elena makes him boring and like stefan, he is not fun and not the bad boy...

@jereimy, I dont think Damon loving Elena makes him like Stefan at at all. Even when Damon shows his caring side, he still carries the sarcasm, edginess, & loyal qualities. He had to come clean with Elena first about his feelings then compelled her to forget cuz all he wants is to c her happy & right now she loves Stefan. If he let her go on knowing his feelings, it wouldve been awkward & created more complications. I dont think Stefan would give up Elena like that. The breakup IMO is irrelevent cuz they still interacted heavily & cuddled a bit. Theres a huge difference.

In the books, Damon does love Elena. He is still edgy & dark in the books despite his love for Elena. He still loves the thrill of violence & is fiercely protective of Elena. His life means nothing without her & she matters most to him.

All JMO, but I dont get how Delenas love & bond in books & show can be ignored. Damons love on the show is selfless whereas in the books his love for her is growing from selfish to selfless (LJ Smith said so about the R.T.) No offense.

i know some of you don't understand why ppl ship bamon, so ill tell you why III ship Bamon. I havent read the books but from the show i can just SEE the tension between them and Damon needs a strong person to be with like Bonnie since she can take him down if he causes trouble so he WONT with her. it's obvious. plus, they are just so cute! with the 'judgey' thing. and he is so confused by her sometimes and i just like it! :P

i dont wanna bash either, but i dont get why people like DE so much. Damon has done so many bad things to elena and her family and the thing that annoys me is that she keeps on acting like none of those things happened. sure, damon is hott and sexy but if someone tried to kill my brother, i would never hook up with them. PLUS, elena loves stefan and i give kudos for damon for realizing that last episode (: i like DE as FRIENDS and only that but idk. romance, no thanks (:

Delena... because Elena is Damon's true love. For those of you who want to know why I ship Delena, I'll tell you. Damon has gone through heartbreak again and again... never finding the one special someone, the someone that makes him want to be a better man. As said on Nikita "We all wear masks... some of us more than others (Damon)... but it isn't until you find someone (Elena) that sees through the mask and makes you want to be different... better."

Elena is the only one that sees through the mask that Damon puts up even when no one wants to see it. && with Damon killing Jeremy... I'm not saying that Damon should be easily forgiven for that, but look at it from his point of view... The woman that he loved for about a hundred years (Katherine) NEVER loved him- It was ALWAYS Stefan... and the woman that he finds himself drawn to because of her ability to make him see things in a new way, whom he is starting fall deeper in love with (Elena) says the same thing. He was hurt, and drunk, and what else do you have to live for without love?

Nothing.

He had nothing to live for in that moment so he did something rash and stupid. && he did regret it in the end... Having lost Elena's friendship... But he has slowly fallen in love with Elena, whether he wanted to or not, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to love because love makes you vulnerable. He hates being vulnerable, but yet Elena is the ONLY person who has been able to make Damon TRULY fall in love and she brings out his humanity.

I can understand why people ship Bamon in the books, I enjoyed some of their moments but they were NOTHING in comparison to Delena. Bathtub moment or an entire book with some of the most intense moments possible? Yeah... I know which I'd rather pick!

But on the show alone it personally baffles me. Some people have said Bamon have tension, but I see that as awkwardness on Bonnie's part. She's either terrified or she hates him, it has never gone an an inch towards friendship and nearing the halfway point of season 2, that doesn't look like it's going to change. We're only just starting the relationship between DE... and they have been through so, so much without even sharing a single kiss. THAT'S why Delena is far more powerful than Bamon will ever be. They have the power to understand and care for one another despite the awful things that have come between them. A silence that speaks volumes and it's just beautiful.

And if anyone "couldn't see" the connection between them in episode 8 I don't believe them. For example, Stelena's break-up scene almost had me in pieces and a lot of the time I cannot stand them. I refuse to have a biased approach towards ships.

Erm how is Delena not okay because Damon "killed" Jeremy even though he tried to rip Bonnie's throat out in S1, and indirectly killed her grandmother?! Where's the logic in that?!
