You said "loves Damon more" not "not loves Damon only." I don't think her heart will ever be free of either of them. They both love her, she loves both of them, and they love each other so they want each other to be happy.

Clearly becoming a threesome would work for these three :)
And before people get all high and mighty on me, this is a vampire show in which a 17 year old girl is dating mass murderers if you want to look at things from a "realistic" point of view. So I don't think becoming a threesome is such a big deal compared to that. And it won't be like Katherine because she actually would love and care about both. She wouldn't be playing around with them.

But if you're saying that she'll love Stefan in a friendly way but Damon more, then she should be with Damon. You shouldn't sacrifice the happiness you could have for the rest of your life just because it's an inconvenience for someone else.

I picked this and I am really no fan of DE(I rather dislike them) but when Elena would love Damon more than she should be together with Damon.To stay with someone you don't love is a shit life. So either she leaves them both, which would be not so good since I don't think that Elena will love ever again like she loved Stefan or in that case Damon, or she gets together with Damon.To stay with with both would make her to a bitch and tho I don't like her I don't think she would make something like that.

If she didn't love Stefan (which is so not true!) I say she should just leave them both. 1. Because it would hurt Stefan for her to be with Damon 2. She said she wants kids and to stay a human, so she wouldn't be able to stay with Damon.
