Ok instead of Eric staking Longshadow, like in the book, Bill does it and has to be punished. Jessica is that punishment. Marryane is the thing that attacked Sookie in the book (I think, Dead in Dallas). Daphne seems to be a survivor of the same kind of attack as Sookie.
