United States Of America Question

Is it just me or is it kind of cocky that Sarah Palin says she will beat President Obama in 2012

I don't care what party you are. She really shouldn't get that far ahead of herself, because she could be eating her own words. Some people of her own party think she is too radical and her family is too much of a " circus " to run our Country. Besides to run and become President, you have to be willing to work with all people and both sides. She doesn't strike me as someone who could do that. Her thinking is very black and white.

Absolutely. Even with her family problems aside, she would just be a sucky President. Luckily, I'll be able to vote by then, and I definitely WON'T be voting for her.

I can't vote in the US as I'm not a US citizen. However, we got to know her a little bit during the 2008 elections. Most Europeans were appalled by her ways of handling politics. Here in Europe, she's considered as a nutcase at best, a complete danger for the whole world at worst.

John McCain seemed to be a decent guy. I always wondered how he could have tolerated her on his ticket to the presidency...

If I were a US citizen, for sure I would NOT vote for her !

LOL but a comic relief who has her finger on THE BUTTON (the nuclear button) !!! I am not amused... or only in comedy indeed as you put it. The rest of the world count on you US folks to keep her as such, a comic relief and only that. Not as the next US prez.

Especially now that she is in HOT WATER over her " Gun Cross Hairs" map and " Blood Libel" remark. After the AZ shooting.

Obama is just as smug, it's just people rarely call him on it because of the bias and all.

While true, she is a very horrible politician, I think her stating that she will beat Obama in the next election is something more of a confidence boost for herself because Obama is probably going to be a hard candidate to beat, and her saying that is smug, yes, but also probably just a morale booster she needs for herself.
