Pat is the author of "Pat's Blog" which can be found via a link on the Van Morrison News site. Pat's blog is all charm as he recounts details from his life as a Van Morrison 'vanatic'. He's met many of the fanatical Van fans from all over the world. He's had an interesting life and it hasn't all been smooth sailing. I love it.

Just read his blog and he's gone out for a drink in the pub for the first time since March. Brave man. I'm staying away from everyone at the minute. I don't even look at myself in the mirror. (I've always hated ugly anyway!)

I like his blog. He seems a decent chap. Lives off the benefits of capitalism but supports socialism- the system that never worked and led to more repression than any other. That's a little strange but I don't think he thinks too deeply about these things. Why would he support repressive socialism? He's probably kidding about the socialism. We all know it doesn't work!

I used to go to school with Pat. Not very cultured in those days with all the flat vowel sounds and all the "yunno" kind of thing going on. He switched to "roll your own" and that was the end of that. He's never been to my beach house in Cornwall. I've got plenty of British things on the walls. Right through the old place.

I like the blog. I can see he's very confused about religions and philosophies. He's that rare breed who can believe that contradictory ideas can be true at the same time. He's merely a dabbler I suppose. He resists Christianity because the cost is too high. Jesus voluntarily died so Pat could be free from his life of sin. He just doesn't get it.
