If you take a Vitamin water (so far it has worked with Dragon fruit, Blueberry acacia pom and grape...put them in the freezer door for anywhere from to 2 - 3.5 hours. And then check every once in a while to make sure they aren't frozen at all but they feel really cold without any crystal formation at all! Be careful with the acacia and Bluberry casue it cools and freezes faser...anyway, take it out of the freezer while it is still liquid but very cold usually takes 3 hours if you leave it just in the freezer door and don't check it more than once in between. Anyway, when you take it out wrap the top of the bottle on a hard surface and immediatley flip it up-right you can watch it turn into crystals before your eyes. The crystal reaction, I believe (x science teacher) is due to the fact that all the minerals in the water allow it to get below freezing temp without atully freezing, but when you take it out of the freezer and hit the bottle on the table it triggers a crystal to form which triggers other crystals and before you have it, you have an entire chain reaction of very fine crystal formation!! Taks a spoon and enjoy the very soft and fine textured slushy!! Try it! The crystal bursting show in the bottle is worth it alone!! Karen Hoffman RN and X science teacher :)
