I don't think we ever find out. It's whoever Princess mated with, and that was never revealed. Probably a random wild cat or another housecat that lives nearby.
I want to say Smudge. I always thought that was who his father was, until I started rereading the books and I realized that he was taken top the cutter at the end of book one.
