I agree with @debriana. Her mother's name is Matilin and she died after getting ill with some kind of Disease.She was a lover of music and she used to perform on stage.That's how Musa's dad met Matilin and fell in love with her at first site.

Musa's mother's name was Matlin or Wa-nin. As mentioned in the 4kids episode Magic In My Heart, it was said by Musa that she passed away because of an illness. After her mother's death, Musa's father banned music from their home, scared that he would lose his daughter just as he lost his late wife. Musa also says this in The Day Of The Rose.
