Will had run so far from the mansion she eventually made her way to the street. The street was paved with thugs.
"Hey, Red! What's a girl like you doing in a place like this!" A thug wearing red banana hooted.
Another thug wearing a black leather jacket pulled out a knife. "It seems she's lost!"
A man, with long black hair tied in a pony tail and carrying a bat, steeped forward. "You know what we do to people who make their way into our neighborhood."
Will didn't know what to do; she was to afraid to use her powers and too afraid to go back to the mansion. She didn't even know how to find the mansion if she did go back. So she did the only thing she could think of, she kept running straight as the thugs began to chase her.
Will had grown tired from all the running she had done, and the thugs were starting to catch up with her.
Just as it seemed the thugs were going to catch her, a giant robot landed between them. The robot had a purple head and a blue body. It was at least three stories tall.
Upon seeing the robot, the thugs ran away. Will had stopped running, not sure what to do at this point. The robot had saved her so maybe it was a good robot. The robot turned around and saw Will.
"Mutant detected. Name, unknown. Level of threat, unknown. Objective, capture," the robot croaked, its monotone sending shivers down Will's back.
The robot stepped forward and shot metal whip like things out of its hands. Will avoided the whips as she ran from the robot.

"Professor, we have been looking for Will for hours, and we still haven't found her," Irma said, worried.
"I know, Irma, but we must keep looking," Himerish said.
"Could you detect her with Cerebro?" Yan Lin asked.
"Unfortunately no, since she hasn't used her powers. I couldn't find her."
"What about through Telepathy?" Cedric pondered.
"She has gotten too far for me to contact her. I stayed with her until she had gotten towards the end of the woods. She was so panicked and had so many thoughts going through her head that I could no longer stay in touch with her," Himerish sighed.
"Great. First Cole scares her off, then he won't even help us find her," Cornelia groaned.
"It does give me an idea though. We could open up a haunted house and use Cole's room. 'Beware the most forbidden place in the universe where the most dangerous person lives' ooooooo," Irma giggled, trying to get a laugh.
"Irma, I don't think this is a time to be laughing. We need to find Will," Hay Lin urged.
"Hay Lin is right, Irma. I feel something bad is about to happen. We must find Will," Himerish stated.
000000000
Himerish telepathically contacted each person as they looked for Will. Sadly no one had found her, so he tried to contact Will one more time; he couldn't reach her mind but he did find her running through the streets. She was frightened, and Himerish had a bad feeling it was something more then just being afraid of Cole.
Himerish knew Will could be in serious trouble but everyone was too far away from her. They might not make it. Hay Lin might be able to make it there to help her, but even that was a long shot. There was only one other person Himerish could have help Will.
Himerish went upstairs and went to the room at the end of the hall.
"Hello Cole," he greeted calmly.
"What do you want?" the boy demanded dully.
"That girl you saw earlier, her name is Will. I'm afraid she may be in trouble."
"So?" Cole snorted.
"Please Cole, I ask that you help her. None of the others can make it to her in time. Please."
Cole groaned and whirled around, stomping out of the room. "Fine! I'll save the girl."

Will had run into a dead end, and the robot was coming close. Will turned around to look at the giant robot. She lifted her hands up as her finger tips began to spark. She shot a blast of lightning at the robot which hit its shoulder, damaging it.
The robot took a step back because of the blast, but then continued walking towards Will.
"Mutant detected. Name, unknown. Level of threat, high. Objective, destroy," The robot groaned in its same monotone voice.
The robot raised up hands. As the palms began to glow red, Will backed up against the wall and closed her eyes as tears came falling town her cheeks.
Suddenly a large shadow appeared in front of Will and another appeared under the robot's feet. It was getting bigger and bigger.
Suddenly from the shadow under the robot, large black tentacles emerged and wrapped around the robot. The robot struggled to get free but it was no use, then from the shadow in front of Will; Cole emerged.
"Worthless machine. The shadows are a gate way to the darkness. You have no hope. All that is left for you is destruction."
Upon Cole finishing his sentence, the tentacles squeezed on the robot until it was destroyed. Then the tentacles disappeared as quickly as they came.
Cole turned around to face Will as she opened her eyes.
"You alright?" he asked her.
Will just nodded, still afraid of what had just happened recently.
"Then let's go." He quickly turned around and began to walk off.
Will staggered after him, her knees threatening to buckle at any sentence. "Wait, how did you destroy that robot? Why was it after me?"
Cole sighed as he answered, "I destroyed it with my abilities. It was probably after you because it could be a mutant hunter."
Will paused, the color draining from her face. "A mutant hunter?"
"For those who know of the existence of mutants, they consider us an abomination. They think humanity's only hope is to destroy us."
"Why would they think that? We haven't done anything wrong!"
Cole merely shrugged his shoulders. "They fear us as they should. Now let's go." The last part was said with a little force.
Will wanted to question more but held back on the topic. Instead, she smiled weakly and murmured, "Okay. By the way, my name's Will."
"I know who you are, and the name's Cole."
"And I know that. You're not really liked by the others."
"I don't care," he grunted. He glanced over his shoulder casually and asked in not a harsh way, "You're not as afraid of me as you were earlier?"
"A little," Will admitted. "But it's odd. I'm just getting over it for some reason."
Cole sighed and rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
000000000
Cole and Will entered the mansion where everyone else was waiting. Cole headed for the stairs as Irma ran up and hugged Will.
"You're alive!" Irma said excitedly.
"She won't be for long if you don't stop squeezing her, Irma," Yan Lin said calmly.
Irma let go of Will, who started breathing again.
"Oops," Irma giggled nervously. "Sorry about that, Will."
Will laughed in response. "It's okay, Irma."
Himerish stepped forward and placed a hand on Will's slender shoulder. "Will, I know you have been through a lot, so if you're ready, I will take you home," he said.
Will watched Cole as he turned to face her then continued up the stairs.
"I would like to stay here, Professor," Will said.
"That's wonderful, Will. I'm glad you decided to stay," Himerish said.
Irma started properly introducing Will to the others.
"This is great, and tomorrow you get to meet the others!" Irma said.
"The others?" Will asked.
"Yeah the others who live here. Don't worry, it will be alright you'll enjoy yourself here." Irma turned and winked to Will slyly. "Trust me."
Will thought about when she first arrived at the mansion and how frightened she was of everyone, especially Cole. She was still nervous about being around so many people, but she felt a lot calmer.
She then thought about Cole. She didn't know why but when she saw him the second time she felt calmer, happy even if he did still kinda scare her. She had a feeling Irma was right. She was going to have a great time there.

A man in a long white lab coat was watching a giant monitor. The monitor showed a giant robot chasing a red haired girl.
The sound of a door sliding open echoed through the mostly empty room, as the sound of foot steps could be heard by the man.
"Dr Trask."
The referred to as Dr Trask turned around to face a man who had a folder in his hand.
"What do you want, boy? Can't you see I'm doing research?"
"Yes sir. Sorry, sir, but I have the information you requested." The man held out the folder to Dr Trask.
Trask took the folder.
"Good. Now leave me to my work."
"Yes sir." The man then left the room leaving the doctor alone with his work.
Trask opened the folder. Inside were pictures and information of the girl who was on the monitor. After looking through the folder, Trask looked back up at the monitor. He saw the girl shot a blast of lightning at the robot, damaging it. That was when the monitor cut off.
Trask had an evil looking smile.
"Well, Will Vandom. I don't know if you were the one to destroy my Sentinel, but I know that you will make a perfect subject for my experiment."

"Hey, wake up."
Will heard a gruff voice, thinking it to be nothing more then her alarm clock being on some random radio station. She reached her hand out to her night stand, trying to turn it off but she couldn't seem to find it.
"Get up."
Will heard the voice. Okay, this time Will sat halfway up out of bed. She looked at her night stand.
"Stupid alarm—" Will stopped mid sentence when she noticed her alarm clock wasn't there.
"Hey, where's my alarm clock?" she said to the room, even though to her, she was the only one in there.
"I'm your alarm clock."
Will heard the voice again. She slowly turned her head to the edge of her bed where she saw a man in a white muscle shirt and blue jeans.
"Who are you?" Will timidly asked the stranger.
The stranger sighed.
"Himerish wasn't kidding when he said you were the shy type. Names Logan. Now come on. I let you sleep later then the others because you're new, but now it's time to get up."
"Where are we going?"
"The danger room for some training."
"Can I at least get dressed first?"
"I have no problem training you in your PJ's, but I'll be nice if you hurry."
Logan left Will's room, closing the door on his way out.
It was a good five minutes or so before Will made her way out of the room. Logan was leaned against the wall next to her door.
"Took you long enough."
"I'm not very fast when I first wake up," Will said, though it was mainly through a yawn.
Logan had no problem understanding the yawn language as this wasn't his first time getting someone up early.
"Don't worry. You'll get used to it, or if you want to survive, you'll get used to it."
"What time is it?" Will asked.
"Six fifteen."
"What! You're a bad alarm clock. Mine doesn't go off until seven thirty and that's the earliest."
Logan and Will were both silent the rest off the way to the lower parts of the mansion. It was partly because of Logan's preferred quietness and Will being nervous around Logan.
As the two reached the lower parts of the mansion and made their way to the danger room, Will noticed sounds were coming from the med lab.
"Seems Hank is happy to be back in his lab."
"Hank? Who's Hank?" Will asked.
Logan didn't answer the question as the two were coming up to the med lab. The door was already open to the med lab. Will looked inside. She noticed a large white board with many different equations written on it.
I hate math, Will thought to her self.
Will also noticed tons of vials filled with many different colored liquids, but something else caught Will's attention. As she looked up, she saw a big blue muscular man, or what she figured to be some type of creature, hanging upside down from the ceiling reading a book.
"I didn't expect to see you up this early, Hank."
Hank moved the book from out in front of his face, and upon seeing Logan, dropped from the ceiling to the floor gracefully landing on his feet.
"I was too excited to be back in my lab. I admit that vacation was something I needed but this is where I truly feel at home," Hank said.
Hank noticed Will, who seemed a bit nervous to be looking at the blue creature.
"Ah, you must be Will." Hank extended his hand to Will. it is a pleasure to meet you."
Will slowly reached her hand out to Hank's and shook it. All it took was that simple hand shake to make Will feel comfortable around Hank.
"Likewise," Will said.
"See ya later, Hank. Right now, Red and I have to go to the danger room," Logan said.
"Of course, and Will, if ever you would like to come chat with me, you always more then welcome," Hank said.
"I'll keep that in mind," Will said as her and Logan left to the danger room.
Logan and Will entered the danger room, where Caleb, Cornelia, Taranee, Hay Lin, and Irma were lined up right next to each other. It was easy to tell they were all tired as they looked ready to fall over any minute.
Irma, who was leaned against Hay Lin, had fallen asleep.
"Irma!" Logan shouted.
The sound of her name being shouted caused her to rise her head from Hay Lin's shoulder.
"I didn't take the cookies, Mom. It was Chris," Irma said, ready to defend herself from whom she assumed was her mother at the time.
This caused everyone except Logan and Irma to start laughing, Logan started rubbing his head, already feeling like he was getting a headache because of Irma, while Irma wondered what everyone thought was funny.
"Alright Will, go stand next to Irma," Logan instructed.
Will did as she was told, by this time everyone including Irma was now fully awake.
Logan stood in front of the teenagers and walked back and forth like some type of drill instructor.
"You've all gotten lucky today as Himerish doesn't think you should train too much, because he's hoping you will each try to make Will feel more at home since she's new here. If it was up to me, by now you would all be crawling on your knees because of how tired you would be. Make no mistake if I feel you are slacking off, then that's what will happen."
"So what are we doing today?" Caleb asked.
"Just simple target practice," Logan side.
Logan looked up to the upper part of the danger room. It was a place that was part of the danger room and was where the machine that activated all the different aspects of the danger room was.
Logan nodded his head. As Himerish pushed a button, in the higher part of the danger room that made a target appear in right behind Logan though a bit higher in the air.
"It's simple. Too simple if you ask me, but out of Himerish's request, this is all you're doing. Three tries is all you have to not just simply hit the target but hit the dead center of the target which means nothing big. Only small projectiles," Logan said.
000000000
Up in the higher part of the danger room a man entered the little area with Himerish.
The man had short red hair, green eyes, tanned skin and was muscular. He wore a black muscle shirt that looked like it had claw marks in the middle, and he wore black pants, the ending of the legs looking a little ripped.
The man walked over and stood beside the chair Himerish was sitting in. The man could see the students with Logan.
"Did you come to see how Will would do, Jaden?" Himerish asked.
"You could say that. From what you told me, she's nervous about being here. So I would like to see how she does," Jaden said.
"It doesn't make things any easier for her after her incident last night," Himerish said.
"I can't imagine it would. Having some giant robot attack you could effect a lot of people."
000000000
"Alright Princess, you're first," Logan said.
"Princess?" Will asked Irma.
"It's just some nickname Logan gave her. He gives just about everyone a nickname."
"That would explain why he called me Red."
"Yeah, but don't worry. It's not your code-name."
"My code-name?"
"Yeah. You see, Logan and a few others that are here are part of a team, and someday we'll be part the team, and we get uniforms and code-names," Irma said excitedly.
"What's the purpose of the team?"
"It's to help people learn to understand mutants better... and to get bad guy butt."
"What's the team called?"
"It's called the X-Men."
Will and Irma then became silent as they watched Cornelia ready herself.
Cornelia created three tiny rocks in her hand. She flicked the first one with her finger. It hit the top of the target, the next two she flicked with two fingers. They hit the dead center.
"Alright Half-Pint, your turn," Logan said.
Hay Lin rose her right hand and formed wind that went into a straight line. All three times it hit the dead center.
"Alright Pyro, your next," Logan said.
Taranee stepped forward. She adjusting her glasses, then created a small fire ball in her hand. She hit the center of the target. Her next two attempts were just as successful.
"Alright Joker, your turn," Logan said.
Irma created a bit of water at the tip of her finger. Her aim wasn't the best, as the first two hit the top of the target with the third one barley hitting the center.
"If you trained as much as you mess around, you would be a lot better," Logan said.
"It's good to know you think I can do a lot better, Logan," Irma said.
Irma went and stood next to Will.
"Hey, Irma, where is Cole at?"
"In his room. He never has to be part of this," Irma complained.
"I can see why. He really trashed that robot last night," Will said.
"Yeah, well, I still think he should have to be part of this."
"Alright Rebel, your turn."
Caleb didn't use his powers. He just took out three small knives out of his coat pocket. He tossed the knives at the target. All three hit the center.
"And finally, it's your turn, Red," Logan said.
Will stepped forward, a bit nervous. She held out her hand. Sparks were coming from the tips of her fingers. A small bolt of lightning left her fingers and completely missed the target.
"The objective is to hit the target," Cornelia said rudely.
"Be quiet, Corny! Show her what you can do, Will!" Irma cheered.
Will got a little angry at Cornelia's comment. Again she shot another bolt of lightning at the target, this time the bolt was bigger, but it still missed the target completely.
"Yeah, that's showing me," Cornelia said sarcastically.
Will got angrier. This time, instead of just the tips of her fingers having sparks, sparks flew around her whole hand until a small ball of lightning was in her hand. She shot the ball at the target. The lightning ball hit the target, completely destroying it.
000000000
Himerish and Jaden watched the whole event from where they were.
"It seems Will has a bit of a temper," Jaden said.
"Apparently. That's a new side to Will I haven't seen before," Himerish said.
"And leave it to Cornelia to bring it out of her," Jaden said.
Himerish pushed one of the many buttons on the machine. He then spoke into a Mic. "That will be all for today, Logan. The students are free for the rest of the day."
Small cheers came from the teenagers as they hurried out of the room except for Will and Irma, who took their time leaving the room.
"That last attack was impressive," Irma said, a little surprised over Will going a little off.
"I didn't know I could do that, or even get that angry," Will admitted.
"Yeah, well, Corny tends to make people angry, but you just need to ignore her. Difficult, I know as I don't think there's enough room in the mansion for her and her ego."
Will laughed a little from what Irma said.
Will and Irma made it to the elevator. They rode it to the middle floor where the living room was. As they entered the living room, they saw the other students as well as two other people.
They saw a girl who was wearing a blue shirt and baggy pants. The other person was a man with white hair, wearing a black hoodie with green sleeves and dark purple pants.
The girl was trying to confess the guy to do something.
"Come on, Edward. It'll be fun," the girl said.
"Cassidy, we just came back from a vacation. Why go out again already?"
"Because I don't just want to sit here. It's boring," Cassidy complained.
Cassidy then noticed Irma and Will.
"Oh, hey, it's the new girl... Hi, new girl!" Cassidy waved.
"Hi." Will waved timidly.
Cassidy turned back to Edward.
"See, we can take the new girl out."
"My name is Will."
"We can take Will out. We can all go out to the mall," Cassidy said.
Hay Lin looked around the room.
"Wasn't Cornelia just here a second ago? And Caleb?"
The group heard the sound of a car horn going off.
"That's the thing with Corny; Hay Lin, say the word mall, and she's even faster then you," Irma said.
"And she more then likely dragged Caleb with her," Taranee said.
Cassidy clapped her hands together.
"Right. It's been decided. We are going!"
Cassidy grabbed Edward's hand and started pulling him with her.
Edward just gave up. When Cassidy wanted something, there was no point in arguing because she would get it.
Irma, in turn, grabbed Will and dragged her along.
"You need to leave this place and learn to relax a little," Irma told Will.
"I don't really want to go."
"Of course you do. You are just a bit nervous, but don't worry about Corny. I'll take care of her, or you could pretend she's the target like with your last try," Irma joked.
000000000
A girl entered the room where Dr. Trask was. She saw him watching the monitor, which showed the same thing it had earlier; Will and the Sentinel.
"You wanted to see me, Dr. Trask?"
Trask turned around to look at the girl who had long black hair.
"Well, if it isn't one of the many atrocitys that roam the land," the doctor snorted.
"My name is Miranda."
"As far as I'm concerned, scum, you have no name. But yes, I did want to see you. I want you to bring that girl to me." Trask pointed at the Will on the monitor.
"Yes, Dr. Trask."
Miranda left the room.
"To think I had to actually had to have a conversation with that thing. If I could use her for my experiments, then I wouldn't need Will... But someone has to do the low work."
000000000
The group had been at the mall for a good hour or so. The two servant boys as it would seem Edward and Caleb had their arms full with boxes and bags, almost to the point that they couldn't see anyone or anything.
"Where to next?" Hay Lin asked.
"I don't know. I think there's still a few shoe stores in here that Cornelia hasn't pretty much bought everything from," Irma joked.
"How about we go somewhere Will wants to go, seeing as how she hasn't gotten anything," Taranee suggested.
"I'm fine. I don't need to get anything," Will said.
Cassidy wrapped her arm around Will as they walked.
"It's tough being the new girl. I know just what that's like," Cassidy said.
"Cassidy, weren't you one of the first people to be at the mansion?" Hay Lin asked.
"Well sorta... but I was still the new girl for a time."
"I know the Professor, Grandma, and you were there, but who else was with you?"
Cassidy completely ignored Hay Lin's question.
"Alright, here's what we do. We split, and meet back at the front of the mail in say, thirty minutes."
Cassidy didn't give anyone time to complain or say anything as she grabbed Edward by his shirt and drag him through the crowd of people.
"I hate when she does stuff like that," Hay Lin said.
"Yeah, well, more time for me to shop, then," Cornelia said.
Cornelia grabbed Caleb by his shirt and started dragging him to different stores in the mall.
"And our group becomes four," Irma said.
"Make that three, as I would like to go look at a few books. I'll see you later," Taranee said.
"And I want to go find something for my art work," Hay Lin said as she and Taranee walked off.
"Well, so much for making you feel at home around us," Irma said to Will.
"It's okay. I don't mind," Will said.
"Well, hey, how about we just go in here, and look at some movies," Irma said, pointing to the store behind them.
Will just nodded her head as they went into the store.
Will was at the front of the store, just browsing, not looking for anything specific, while Irma had gone to the back of the store where the Comedies were at.
After a few minutes of going through the movies, Will went to the back to find Irma. When Will found Irma, she was talking to herself or more like complaining to herself about someone.
"Why do I keep getting stuck with her? What am I, her babysitter? It's so annoying having to be around her. I can't stand it," Irma complained.
Tears started falling down Will's face. She knew Irma was talking about her, and she was hurt. Irma had been a true friend to her or so she thought, but it was all just an act.
Will ran out of the store crying.
Irma turned her head with a wicked smile, knowing she had just made Will run out of the store crying. She walked over to a door perhaps a storage room. When she opened the door, another Irma was in there, tied up with sometime of rope or a strong web of sorts.
"Your friend is really hurt now, but don't worry. I'll make her feel much better," the evil Irma said as she turned back into her normal self with her long black hair. She then slammed the door with Irma still inside.
Will sat right next to a fountain, her hands clinched into fists. She was still crying, both out of hurt and being angry.
"I never should have come to the mansion. I hate it there," Will said to no one in particular, but a girl with long black hair had heard.
"Then why don't you come with me?" the girl asked.
"Who are you?" Will asked her.
The girl extended her hand to Will.
"My name is Miranda."
Will was hesitant to shake Miranda's hand.
Miranda lowered her hand.
"I understand. I heard what your friend said to you. I would be the same way you are now."
"She's not my friend. None of them are. Not Irma, not Hay Lin, not any of them," Will said.
"So you just plan to sit here all by yourself?"
"I don't know."
"Well, how about you come with me and I'll get you a ride home?"
Will was still hesitant to Miranda even if she did seem nice. She had thought the same thing about Irma and look where that had gotten her.
"Come on, what's the worst that could happen? You actually enjoy being around me on the trip to your home. I'll just get you a ride home and that's it. You'll probably never see me again," Miranda said.
"Why are you being nice to me?" Will asked.
"Because I don't think people should be hurt... and I know just how you feel everyone hating you and wanting nothing to do with you"
Will saw the sad look in Miranda's eyes; she felt sorry for her. Will stood up.
"I think I'll take you up on that offer."
Miranda's sad look became a more happy look.
"Great, come on."
Will followed Miranda out of the mall. Miranda took Will quiet a ways from the mall so no one could see them. They stopped near the old mall that was run down and more then likely no one had stepped feet in it in years.
"Is this really the place your ride is picking you up at?" Will asked.
"Yes," was all Miranda said.
"It's quiet a ways from the mall," Will pointed out.
"That's the point, Will."
"What do you mean? And how do you know my name? I never told you what it was."
Will heard the sound of a helicopter. She looked up to see it right above her and Miranda. When Will looked back at Miranda; Miranda spit some web like substance out of her mouth that wrapped around Will.
"Miranda, what are you doing!" Will screamed in a panic.
"Dr. Trask would like to meet you, Will."
"Who's Dr. Trask?"
Miranda didn't answer Will's question. Instead she made another web, this one black in appearance as opposed to the normal white one. Miranda placed the black web over Will's mouth.
The black web did have its importance, as it made Will fall unconscious. Miranda removed the black web from Will's mouth. She then looked up at the helicopter and waved her arm.
A rope ladder fell from the helicopter. Miranda picked up Will then held onto the ladder as the helicopter took off. The ladder was then pulled up into the helicopter.
No one saw the events that had just happened, except for a single raven that was on top of the old mall.
The raven took flight, following the helicopter.
This story was originally DREAMCOLE's, but he let me take it over.

"Whatever."

I also do not own Jaden; he belongs to XV-Dragon.
