Writing Question

I'm tempted to throw out a story I've been working really hard on.. Would you suggest I just put a holf on it?

I'm writing a story loosely based on somewhat true events that have occured throughout my life.

I've gotten to the part where I introduce the best friend anyone could ever had. The problem is recently, he's gone mad or something and he's hurt me a great deal. (The kind of hurt that keeps you up all night wanting to scream and punch holes in walls) I'm feel like turning him into a huge jerk and killing him off only moments after indroducing him.

Do you think it would be a good idea to just continue writing the story with what I'm feeling right now, or to put it off until later?

Ah, hold. Not holf. There's something wrong with me. my wording is a little odd..

Don't throw it away! Just hold it off for awhile. you and your friend could make-up later.

I think you should just keep on writing it. Change the best friend to someone else who is your friend or completely make up someone new. It's hard basing characters off real life and expect things to turn out the same in both situations.

NEVER LEAVE A STORY HANGING. You put time and effort into that, and no matter what bumps you run into, taking it away isn't a great idea. Put it on hold for as long as you need to. But this moment with your friend? Saviour it. There may come a time where you need to write a totally new story and need a jerk, then BAM! You already have your character and the way he acts planned out.

I say you kill him off later on as a plot point like make him the bad guys son who gets stabbed to death like this! *Stabs meant repeatedly*

put it on hold for now untill you get your feelings sorted out. if you want it to be like real life then maybe you should wait. on the other hand it could be interesting to see where your anger takes you.

Keep writing! Writing is the way to express what you're feeling. If you stop writing, the emotions will build up until they're unmanageable. No matter what, keep writing!!!

Never ever throw out a story...ever. Keep everything. Copy what you have now, and keep writing. Then when everything settles down, and you have things figured out, go back to your orginal and write from there. See which version you like best...or mix the two. :) You never know what might come out of it....
