I have an idea for a story but i think its been done already, what do you think?

The only thing I can think of that sound at all similar is Bionic Woman, but i've never been into this type of thing, so I wouldn't know.

I do think anything could work though, depending on the side story and the twists you decide to add.

Well, if it has been done before, you could always put your own unique twist to it. And it isn't really done to death. There are VERY few stories that are COMPLETELY new. The vast majority have borrowed ideas from other stories. It's the unique twists in it that make it special. But no, done-to-death stories are more like, vampire stories. Those have become done-to-death.

Everything has been done before, because there are only two original plots. So, if you think it's been done, add your own spin on it and it's yours. Copy right law doesn't protect general ideas, only exact plots.
