Then he gets transferd to Cyborg city where a virus is causing the Cyborgs too malfuntion.

To stop the virus a set of cyborg parts are created and secretly transported to the city to counter the virus.

The only thing I can think of that sound at all similar is Bionic Woman, but i've never been into this type of thing, so I wouldn't know.

I do think anything could work though, depending on the side story and the twists you decide to add.

I think it sounds great! It's a really cool idea, and it leaves a lot of potential.

Well, if it has been done before, you could always put your own unique twist to it. And it isn't really done to death. There are VERY few stories that are COMPLETELY new. The vast majority have borrowed ideas from other stories. It's the unique twists in it that make it special. But no, done-to-death stories are more like, vampire stories. Those have become done-to-death.

I think it could be a really great story! I wish you luck with it!

Everything has been done before, because there are only two original plots. So, if you think it's been done, add your own spin on it and it's yours. Copy right law doesn't protect general ideas, only exact plots.
