Try talking it out to someone else or yourself with an outline. If you are passionate enough about your story, inspiration will give you your answers. :D

This may not be helpful but it seems to work for me.

Well, I base a lot of things on what I dream on, like if in a dream I say/hear a strange word, I wake up, usually remember it and immediately write it down, then I figure out a way to use it in my stories.

Or, you could try attatching or mixing two or more words up.
Like for example, my History teacher was in the English department and he was convinced they'd made up the word "Bibble-babble" which I'm now using as a language in one of my stories.

I read in the comments with someone else but I'm not sure, I think you meant you were having trouble what to call the Native on Avalon? (sorry if I have the spelling wrong)
Anyway, if I have it right, you could just call them Native Avalons. Or Avalonians. Or something like that.
