Writing Question

I need story help

I can't figure out where my abduction victim is being held captive and I can't write the third chapter of my story before I figure this out. I'm kind of desperate.

How about an old abandoned factory or something, where no one would ever look?
Or an old ice cream truck? Haha, I know it's random, but it seems like a cool place to keep someone captive

Usually the obvious answer would be somewhere abandoned, like a building or underground area. The sewers or an abandoned house could be an option, but it depends what you bad guy is like and why this person was kidnapped.

You could always add suspense by the abducted person actually being somewhere very public and accessible. Like, they could practically be "right under thier noses". Hiding people actually in a house in a built up area would be harder, but the police would not search there first.

Hmm, maybe the house were he (the victim) is being held captive could be like a block from his girlfriend's (a cop, he's a cop too) house

Hmm... there are many places you could keep a victim, underground, for instance, the abductor's house or something, any old building, a basement under a shop, it could even be a mirror if you're doing fantasy.
It's your story it could be anywhere. Just make sure it's not like really stereotype or unbelieveable... make it match the story.
