That next morning I stretched and hopped out of my bed. My snow white wings unfolded and rose above my head. Yes, I forgot to mention that professor gave me wings when I was created. I totally forgot what happened last night, did he say something like he was going to experiment with hybrid Taoloids? Yes... Now I remember.. After I undressed out of my lacy oversized pink and white night gown into my regular pink and magenta dress, I crept down the long hallways and into the kitchen. I got to make Professor Rhinestone breakfast! I unexpectedly overslept a half hour later, possibly because I was up almost all night thinking of Professor and his.. Soon to be new success Taoloids..
I flipped the pancake over on its side, and turned around to grab three eggs. Professor likes them sunny side up, not scrambled. I hummed a song I heard on the television. After I had made the pancake and three eggs, I hurried down the flight of stairs and knocked on the Professor's door. I wasn't allowed in there unless ordered. I heard him click the door knob as he opened it up. "Very well, Soul. He grabbed the two plates I handed him. I bowed. "I-I'll be on my way now!" I started away, but he immediately answered, "How about you make yourself cozy here in my room." I turned and blinked. "P..Professor? Really?" He nodded and held out his hand to the inside of his bedroom. I tried to hold in my smile of delight. "Thank you.. Oh! Is there...Perhaps something you'd like to tell me?" He nodded again and sat down on his desk chair. "Take a seat, Soul," He looked up at his hanging chandelier. "Soul, Taine and me have decided we will make a system of hybrid Taoloid, and if it succeeds than, well, we will carry on with that." My eyes widened. "But Prof-" I started nervously. "Soul, that does not mean that I will forget about you. You will stay of proof that the original Taoloid was too a success. But please, don't make me have to get rid of you." I trembled. "No, you won't have to think about that, Professor." He let out a small chuckle. Then, he patted my head. "Good. Now Soul, may you bring this up for me and get started for the laundry? I have to meet Taine in 15 minutes down at the lab." I nodded confidently. "Yes!" I rushed up stairs and back down to the laundry room. I still think that what Professor said wasn't right. But, I'll have to hang in there, at least for a while.
"Phew, all done!" I rubbed the sweat off my forehead. And yes, Taoloids can indeed sweat. "Hmm, Professor Rhinestone is down at the laboratory now.. I wonder.. If I should check over there, I'm done with all my chores after all." I stood up and eagerly walked down to the lab. There was a small window in the door you come in, so I watched to see what they had been doing. There. They were already working on several hybrid Taoloids. How can they make such things so fast? Taine was using a computer to probably put in the DNA and everything. Professor Rhinestone was busy with the looks. He was fairly good at that, I mean, he made me look wonderful! He placed in the wings, just like mine! Professor's eyes met mine eventually. I gasped. Was I going to be in trouble? He walked up to me and smiled. "Are you curious to see how you Taoloids are made?" I blushed, his charm was unbeatable. "Y-yes!" As I stepped in the lab I saw the hybrids up close. "Soul, I'd like you to meet 'Myra'. Shes Hybrid Experiment #001." I waved and giggled nervously. She wasn't even officially programmed yet.. "Rhinestone! I have finished Experiment #002!" Taine announced. He turned on a switch that shot some sort of electricity inside her. The hybrid blinked a couple times and turned to face me. She held out her robotic hand, other than the metallic feeling, she looked 99% like a regular human girl. "Nice too meetchu." She said erratically. I could tell her English wasn't very smooth.. "H-Hello." I smiled sweetly. "I am 'Corrine'. Hybreed Experiment #002!" I giggled. "Yes, I am Soul. Original Experiment #0012." Corrine's loving smile turned into a frown. "Huh?" Taine patted her back a couple times. "Damgit. Shes running a little rusty so far.." I checked her. "M-Maybe she needs more vocal cords implanted in her?" Taine nodded. "Yes! Good job, Soul." He turned back to the computer. "Niceee toooo meeeetchuuuuuuuuu!" Corrine automatically turned on and fired a beam of strong light towards me. I stumbled to the ground.

There’s the shadow of a plane
The sound of an engine,
Flying in the rain.
Please, take me away.
Raise my hands to
Touch the sky.
Wish I could fly to the moon,
Maybe tonight.
Feet glued to the street,
I just have to
Reach.
Hey,
Hey, I just heard a plane
Fly over my place
Please, say that magic word
And take me far away?
This is just a short poem, inspired by Erin McCarley's song, "Bobble Head". I find working from songs a good way to cure my writer's block. It gives me a little push in the right direction. So if you're having trouble, try that :)
