Life unfurls and unfolds as it should. When we’re given our particular mountain to climb, we are also given the capacity to make the journey. Even though we may begin down in the swamp, we eventually rise to the heavens. The more we see “problems” as potentially invaluable “lessons” that we may not want but might just need; we take life’s ups and downs with greater equanimity and even with gratitude. We might consider for a moment how life has provided the perfect circumstances for us to face the issues of our life paths. When we’ve explored our nooks and crannies to the point of becoming transparent to the light of awareness, we finally see the Spirit that shines through us all.
Supporting, teaching, or guiding others who are facing the same or similar issues helps us to progress on our own path. We know this subconsciously; thus, we often teach what we most need to learn.
The more we honor the natural law of choices, the more clearly we can live our life on purpose and by choice, taking responsibility for our directions rather than viewing life as something that just happens to us. For example, instead of wandering through life, wondering if we are on the right path or with the right person or doing the right job, we recognize that we have chosen these people and circumstances. With that recognition, comes the power to accept our choices, to take responsibility for our life, and perhaps to make new choices. If we ever feel powerless in a situation, that’s the time to remember our power of choice. And be grateful for it, while so many don’t have that choice.
And when I hear my granddaughter, cuddling on my ‘rest area’ (read shoulder), telling me with a smile: ‘Mamie, I love my life with you’, I hold her tight and answer her with a larger smile: “So do I, love, so do I.” This is my life and I’m so grateful for all it gave me to this day. And I know tomorrow will be a better day. I am not young, beautiful and sexy, I'm not famous, I'm not wealthy, I'm an illustrious unknown, but I feel I am one of the richest person in the world ‘cause I am part of the most beautiful family on the planet, I love and I am loved. Why should I complain? Who should I envy? Anyone, because I have everything I need. :D

Another poem by me. This one came out kinda lame, but I'll let the rating be the judge (assuming there will be any).
That Girl
Have you seen that girl,
That goes around here and there?
Nobody knows where she’s going,
Is she even going somewhere?
Pretty face, pretty hair,
Nobody knows her name,
She seems sad, what a coincidence,
I’ve been feeling the same.
She seems lost,
Doesn’t even know where she’s from,
I’m a nice guy so I invite her,
To stay in my home.
She seats in the couch,
My, is she pretty?
I wonder what I can say,
To comfort that girl , so dreamy.
Sarah,
She tells me it’s her name,
She feels sad,
Funny,
Because I’ve been feeling the same
