Writing Unique Character Names

Harrypotter148 posted on May 30, 2011 at 05:18AM
What are some unique character names you have come across? Or that you have created?

I must admit I'm horrible with coming up with names.

Cyrus is not something I see a lot in stories.

Eragon is definitely a new one, and almost all the names in those books.

Try looking in the Bible for ideas. Those names are REALLY out there. I can create names from any combination of letters. I also look at real words and make funny ones based on the real ones. I can also make up names off my head. Watch closely.

Name from word: Twera, altered form of water
Funny: Weled vrrok, a draconic term meaning car. Comes from wheeled and vroom
Off Head: Nikrat, Hirach, Shiaru, Kirikaru
