Becca poked her head out from her hiding spot. With a quick look around, she motioned for the others to follow her. They crossed the yard without a single hitch. But trying to get inside proved harder than ever. Becca pulled on the door.
“Hurry!” Erin whispered.
“It's stuck!”
At that moment, bullets rained down towards them.
“Hide!” Becca yelled.
Splitting up, they dove for cover. Kitty climbed up one of the walls, taking two guards out of their posts. Paura hexed them with one of her fear tricks, causing two more to jump down. Nightress cloaked herself in darkness, rising the air until she could feel the guards' fear. She covered them, sending them into one of her dark pockets of time. Erin came next to Becca.
“All the guards up there are gone,” she reported.
“Good. Now we just need the ones on ground.”
“But there are thousands!”
“Then we fight or die trying!”
“You are crazy Becca!”
“Maybe but I'm not watching Young Justice go without a fight!”
“You're the boss!”
The two were separated by multiple guards firing from behind. They all dodged and ducked, running to stay on their toes and away from the hospital.
“Ugh! Damn these villains!” Becca shouted. “Where are they coming from? I'm almost ready to take out my gun!”
“Who knows?” Erin responded. She ducked, avoiding two bullets. “As for your gun, feel free! They have theirs. And they ain't shy about using them!”
“Argh! I wish I was a better person for him,” Becca grumbled, taking the gun out of her boot.
She hid behind a pile of metal as bullets came flying at her. Rising up every once and a while, Becca fired her own bullets, wishing the villains were already out of bullets.
“Better person for who?” Erin asked, falling beside her.
“Robin.”
“Oh. Tough luck!”
Erin got up and took off again.
“Thanks a lot.”
Becca rolled her eyes and fired another bullet.
“We need to get out of here!” Devin said, flying to her.
“I am NOT leaving without Robin! We're so close Dev. We can't abandon them now!”
“But we can't get in.”
“Sure we can. We just need a diversion. Hey Kitten!”
Kitty looked over and ran to her, ducking into her shelter.
“What's up?”
“Can you, Nightress, Obsidian(Talia), and Jade create a diversion? Erin, Devin, Willow, and I need to get inside that place. NOW!”
“No problem. Just give us five minutes!”
Becca nodded and ran off to find Erin. She found the speedster running from shelter to shelter. Becca took her dagger out.
“Sorry Robin. I'm doing this for you.”
Becca threw the knife and shut her eyes when it hit her target, sticking in his shoulder.
“Nice moves Bec. You're improving!”
“Whatever Erin. In five minutes, you, Willow, Devin, and I are going to sneak inside while the others create a diversion.”
“Wouldn't Robin be proud of you!”
“Shut up! Just be ready!”
Becca looked around. She saw Kitty give her a thumbs up before Nightress and Paura set off a huge bomb of inky black fear gas. Becca signaled for the others to follow her and they did. Once everyone made it inside, Becca closed the door, locking it. They looked around and Becca slammed her gun to the ground.
“All that and this is where we find ourselves?! This is just a hanger! A place for supplies! We must have gone in the wrong one!”
Becca screamed, kicking a few boxes.
“Becca. Something else is her,” Nightress said.
“How do you know?”
“I feel life. There is definatly something else here.”
“...Okay. Hang on.”
Becca switched her mask to infra-red and looked for body heat. She looked around, finding nothing.
“I don't see anything.”
“Because you can not see it doesn't mean it's not there.”
“She's right Bec. The blind ones are wise about these things. No offense,” Erin apologized.
“None taken. But you can not see it. You need to feel it.”
Becca to a deep breath. She wasn't made for these things. She was built to fight, to destroy. To defend. Feeling things wasn't her style. But she tried anyway. She closed her eyes, breathing deep. She harnessed her senses, trying to feel rather than see. And for just an instant, she felt a spark of life.
“You're right Val. Something else is here.”
Becca opened her eyes. She looked around and heard a silent, quick beeping
“Get down!”
They all hit the floor just as a bomb went off. Smoke filled the room and Becca pulled out her breathing tube. The smoke must have been filled with a gas of some kind because even after it cleared, her friends didn't wake up. Becca got up, looking at the figure who had stepped inside. It was a male and his hair was black, his eyes red. He stared at her, eyes wide. Becca stood, taking off her breather.
“Anton.”
“Come now Becca. There's no need for formalities,” he said.
Becca's eyes narrowed but she spoke a word she had forbidden since day one.
“Father.”
“Hurry!” Erin whispered.

Robin:
i decided to take a quick walk to get Artemis and Wally's yelling out of my head. there where little snowflakes falling and frost gathered on the ground, the harbor had a happy Christmasy feel to it, i walked by a little group of kids and they were singing.
"Dashing through the snow, in a pair of broken skis over the hills we go crashing into trees bam, bam, bam the snow is turning red i think i'm almost dead woke up in the hospital with stitches in my head" the song was odd but the kids were laughing, you just had to smile, but then the kids went on to the second verse.
"Jingle bells, Batman smells," WAIT WHAT?! my eyes widen
"Robin laid and egg," I glare and stomp up the sidewalk, but the kids are still singing
"The Bat-mobile lost its wheel and Joker flew away HEY, jingle bells, jingle bells.........." i mutter stupid kids
