It was a beautiful day outside of Mount Justice. I was wearing ¾ sleeve, off the shoulder sweater, ripped skinny jeans, and yellow high heels My hair, which faded to a brown-ish red earlier in the week, was down with a yellow bow. I also was wearing my favorite ice cream cone necklace Rosie was helping me practice some spells I was having a hard time with. We started with a freezing spell. It would make me able to shoot frost out of my wand. I started to practice on some plants first. The frost crystalized onto the green felted leafs and colored petals. Rosie started clapping.
“Good job Rene, that was really good,” signed Rosie. The wing blew her orange hair back. She was wearing a brown school jacket with a white blouse and red tie underneath, a dark green and black plaid skirt slightly shorter than knee length, black knee high socks with white bows on the tops, and dark green heels.
“Thanks Rosie,” I signed,” what’s the next spell?” I knew I should of kept working on the freezing spell on a bigger scale, but I needed to get more spells done for the next time we have to battle.
“The next spell is a fire spell,” she said,” it will help you set fire to anything, but you would have to be careful not to hit anyone. I would suggest we work on the water spell first, you know, so you can put the fire out later.” She defiantly had a point. I started to work on it. Some of the plants needed watering, so I decided to water them, no one else would. The water spell was one of the most complicated spells I have ever done, but I bet the fire one was just as hard. I concentrated so hard my brain might have exploded. The water came out of my wand like a spouting fountain. I watered all the plants, even the trees.
“Great job Rene. That will really help you in the long run, plus , you can water the plants more often. They look so pretty,” she signed.
“Ok,” I signed,” let’s go inside for now. If the sun gets any hotter, I might melt.” We walked inside and sat down on the couch. RING, RING,RING, the bell rang. We ran as fast as humanly possibly to the ship for instructions.
“Kaldur, what’s going on?” I asked.
“Poison Ivy is trying to take over Happy Harbor,” he said. It had been a month since we had heard about Ivy since the last time she tried to take over a city.
“Rene, Rosie, and Maxine, you will be fighting Poison Ivy. Today, this is your mission.” Rosie and I started jumping up and down screaming for a second, and then stopped.
“Smashing,” said Maxine,” We get to defeat her again.”
“Someone’s in a bad mood,” I signed. Rosie giggled.
“Well, who is going to take us loves,” she said to us.
“I can fly us there, I know a spell,” I said confidently. Rosie nodded and gave a thumbs up.
“OK, let’s go ladies,” Maxine said. Megan opened the door for us and after I cast my spell, we flew off. Rosie did not need the spell, seeing she could already fly. I was already used to the spell after practicing with Rosie outside. Maxine was another story. She was terrible! I have never seen someone so bad at something. She was running into trees and clouds (and no, she did not have a cloud mustache like in cartoons) and sometimes birds, which were not pretty sights. We all finally landed on the ground, about a mile away from Ivy.
“Hullo Ivy,” said Maxine, “How is it going? Would you like to grab some tea after we kick your butt?”
“Maxine,” I whispered, “stop it.”
“Oh come on, I am just having a little fun before we destroy her into bits.” I shook my head.
“Maxine never shut’s up,” I signed to Rosie. She chuckled.
“OK, on three, we attack, ready? One, two, THREE!” I whispered screamed.
Maxine brought her knife and started cutting plants. Rosie flew over Poison Ivy’s head and shot fire around her in a circle. It burned the plants surrounding her.
“NO!!” Ivy screamed. She tried to make more plants. I flew up on an energy disk I made.
“Bye Ivy.” I used my water spell. Unfortunately, I haven’t tried it on a larger scale than a couple flowers. I tried my hardest not to collapse. The water splashed everywhere.
“Rene,” Maxine said,” Rosie said to stop. You are going to pass out.” Of course, being me, I did not listen, I kept on going with the spell.
OK, there’s good news and bad news. The good news, the fire burned the plants to a crisp and I cleared the fire before it spread over Happy Harbor. The bad news, I was hurdling towards the earth at 80 mph.

Revenge watched. The Shadow placed something in the drawer and began to close it.
Revenge jumped down and kicked him in the face. The shadow fell to the ground. Revenge pinned him before opening the drawer. The body was disintegrated, an acid ate through the flesh, muscles, bones, everything. Revenge collected a sample before he saw the grenade.
It was a timed grenade. And the timer indicated ten seconds before detonation.
"Shit!"
