5SOS Added to Key 103 Summer Live Line-Up »

HarperCollins has signed world rights to a book on young boy band 5 Seconds of Summer. The band, made up of Australian teenagers Luke, Michael, Calum and Ashton, were spotted on YouTube covering hit songs, and were invited by One Direction to open for them on their worldwide tour. They have since had a number one EP in 48 countries, as well as a huge social media following.

5SOS: Untitled will contain more than 100 new photos of the band. It will be released in October 2014.

Publishing director Natalie Jerome said: “5SOS are a social media juggernaut and this is clearly the start of something very big. Their first book will be an absolute must-have for fans the world over this Christmas.”

5 Seconds of Summer is a band from Sydney, Australia consisting of school friends Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Michael Clifford, & Ashton Irwin. Formed in 2011, 5SOS has come a long way in three years. Immensely talented, they all play their own instruments, in 2013 they went on One Direction\'s \'Take Me Home\' tour. They\'ve released four EP\'s and continue to stay busy with new music, videos, tours, and more. They\'ve just released their self-titled debut album that went #1 on the Billboard charts with over 250K sold in the first week. 5SOS are prepping for their fifth EP release with \'Amnesia\' in addition to touring with One Direction for the rest of the summer and prepping for their headlining tour in 2015.
