I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Our track-by-track predictions for 5SOS's Sounds Good Feels Good album
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Zayn Malik went out to dinner with his mum Tricia...
This BopHeads app is about to become your new...
Quiz: Which sassy celeb subtweet are you?
Jake Roche blasts Zayn Malik over the way he...
announced the title, release date, tracklisting and basically everything to do with their shiny second album
. And while we\'re obviously well excited about it all there one teeny tiny issue; we\'ve gotta wait \'til October 23rd to have it in and around our impatient little lugholes. Wah.
So, with this in mind, we did what any #seriousmusicjourno worth their weight in custard creams would do. We made our own track-by-track predictions for what the album might sound like.
Now seeing as our recent predictions for Zayn Malik\'s solo career included a Perrie Edwards duet you might wanna take these with a pinch of salt, but it\'s worth a go anyway eh?
So yeah, we\'d better stop yappin\' on and tell y\'all what we reckon each album track\'s probably about:
Ah, \'Money\'; the tale of a struggling Michael Clifford and his stripper past. Hitting hard times after graduating Norwest Christian College, Michael adopted the stage name \'Magic Mikey\' and made his way around the strip clubs of Sydney on the side as he tried to forge a music career for himself.
A nostalgic look back at his past, \'Money\' is a brand new direction for the 5SOS boys with hard house influences. Sounds weird, we know, but you just watch.
5 Seconds of Summer have spent years wondering whether to greet people with \'hi\' or a simple \'hey;\' something which has caused many a disagreement within the band. But, after a naked mud wrestle backstage in Brisbane, the boys
Thus, \'Hey Everybody!\' was born. Simple explanation, really.
An Abigail Breslin response track, basically. Think 2015\'s answer to Frankee and Eamon or whatever they were called.
Oh, we\'re one step ahead of ya boys. We\'ve already guessed what this one\'s about and uncovered the lyrics.
\'Waste the Night\' is a heartfelt, tearjerker of a tribute to us lot; the 5SOSFam. Written by Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, The Madden Brothers and the person inside the costume of Big Bird off of Sesame Street, this ballad\'s about wasting the night scrolling Tumblr, watching endless GIFs of pizza slices being torn apart (THE MELTY CHEESE) and getting into a YouTube-based hole with only yourself and Zoella to blame.
Music critics have helmed \'Waste the Night\' the band\'s \'most authentic song to date\' and, if you listen closely, Big Bird actually provides backing vocals during the final chorus. He\'s also in talks to support the band on the final date of their Rock Out with Your Socks Out tour in West Palm Beach.
This is a Luke Hemmings solo. \'Vapor\' sees Luke sing about a subject that\'s plagued his life for years for the first time; water vapour. See, when it\'s humid Luke\'s quiff gets floppy. And when Luke\'s quiff gets floppy he writes his best material. It\'s sort of like when they say songwiters are at the top of their game mid-heartbreak.
Some have said this is 5SOS\'s equivalent of \'Everybody Hurts\', which is pretty accurate actually.
got round to writing a song about that time Ashton Irwin got shipwrecked off the Gold Coast and befriended a volleyball. About time, boys.
Remember that time the boys practiced so hard in Ashton\'s garage that his house actually fell down? Yeah, this one\'s about that.
\'Invisible\' sees Calum Hood explain that he was actually an extra in the third, fourth and fifth Harry Potter movies but was never actually credited since he was under a frickin\' invisibility cloak the entire time.
This one features Calum singing with a Kanye West-style vocoder and reminds us a bit of Daft Punk\'s \'Get Lucky\' meets \'Gangnam Style.\' Yup.
A cover of the B.o.B and Hayley Williams off of Paramore classic, of course.
What d\'ya make of our predictions, then? Reckon we\'re spot on or nah? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape, please and a-thank you. CHEERS MATE.
