This is a tough call, as I'm fans of most of these users. But I agree, PkmnTrainerJ: folks, please let someone else add you!

We should try a fan of the week thing. I think it would be neat and it would be a good motivational thing to keep on Posting, and to stay friendly!

Good idea - I agree! I think a week is better. I think it was benji who started this series, and the first one or two were "fan of the week", IIRC. But for some reason people have been posting them as "of the fortnight" more recently. Dunno why.

But a week would be preferable because it's easier to keep track of all the nominated users have done during that week, so that we can compare and vote for the one who is most deserving for that week. I find it much more difficult to keep a tally of all the content that all these people have contributed when it's twice as long.

I started the fortnight timetable because not everyone visits the site every day or two to add content (which diminishes their ability to be the "Fan!"), because it gave the pick more time to garner more votes and, if a new pick is made every week, that's going to fill up the picks oftely quickly with dead/closed picks that the user won't be able to delete (tho' the fanpop gurus could fix that if they have time). Also, I simply thought that "Fan of the Fortnight" was catchy. That was my reasoning. Whoever makes the next fan-based pick can follow their own.
