Gerard Way\'s \'Umbrella Academy\' Comic Might Become a TV Show

The former My Chemical Romance frontman\'s beloved graphic novel might be making its way to a screen near you

Buckle up, My Chemical Romance stans! Gerard Way is hard at work. He released his first solo album, 

last year (one of our faves for sure). He\'s also always drawing and creating, with his comic book series 

 only growing in popularity. Today we learn it\'s on the verge of straight-up skyrocketing: Way\'s project might be making its way to television.

, Universal Cable Productions has announced a deal with comic book publisher Dark Horse Entertainment,

Gerard Way\'s series is apparently one of four graphic novels being looked at. A press release examines the series:

"Nine years after parting ways, the estranged members of the Umbrella Academy, a dysfunctional family of superheroes with bizarre powers, must figure out how to work together to save the world. Created by Gerard Way (

), Bluegrass Films is also attached to executive produce."
