Sunrise's official website for the anime adaptation of Hideaki Sorachi's action comedy manga Gintama today announced with a brand new key visual that a new TV series is in the works for an April 2015 premiere. The new TV anime project was revealed at the anime's super stage in the Jump Festa 2015 event featuring Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata), Daisuke Sakaguchi (Shinpachi Shimura), and Rie Kugimiya (Kagura) today on December 21.
The new series will be aired on TV Tokyo and its affiliates, which aired the past three TV series from April 2006 to March 2010. More details will be followed soon

This year's 34th issue of "Weekly Shounen JUMP" is announcing on Saturday that the Gintama anime will return for a one episode special. This year's JUMP Special Anime Festa event tour will debut this "tearful episode."
JUMP special anime festa will visit six cities this year: Tokyo on November 9, Sapporo on November 15, Osaka on November 16, Nagoya on November 16 and Fukuoka on November 16.
