To quote something I wrote in PLH's article about spoilers just to save time, "Why not create a spot, specifically for spoilers? That way all of the promo vids go there, all of the discussions like the forum thing can go on over there, and this spot can be used to just disucss House as a whole so for users like yourself you can avoid getting spoiled.

I remember all too vividly, when I was not an avid user here, that I had used this spot to watch House MD episodes when they came out and then the finale came out. It was really cool but the whole thing was not ruined so much, but took away of lot of the tension when I saw that a user had posted a forum entitled "RIP Amber" and well..........that sort of gave it away for me........

I'd be happy to set up a similar spot to the fanfiction one for spoilers if that's what everyone would like. Or someone else could if they have a strong preference to do it."

And yes I had exactly the same thing with the season 4 finale, I saw that forum and the ending was all given away.

Now I'm undecided on whether we should create a whole other spot for the spoilers, because we have so many House related spots already it would seem like less of a community to me. I already feel like I miss out on many interesting conversations by not regularly checking the Huddy spot, and I don't want to miss out again by never visiting this spot, if you see what I mean...

Oh yeah I do........hhhmmm..........well I think we have a problem then lol. Cause its kind of hard to control 6709 fans on posting spoilers.

LOL actually the Huddy spot can have extremely interesting conversations, even if it is based on two characters, sometimes with the addition of Wilson or another couple lol.

I'mnot sure. i can see it being a good idea in theory, but practically, not so much. It would change the nature of a lot of things, and I'm a bit set in my ways (even at thirteen). I think its inconvenient to have different spots, i think it would mean that we had one spot covered with spoilers and that would make me feel dirty going there (like being the number fan in a spot for M rated ffs, if you see what i mean) and the whole point of the House spot is too have it for everything House.

Now i know im very hypocritical with that: i love spots for ships and characters and the house fan fiction spot, but spoilers aren't something you have to get out the way in a separate spot.

However im not one to say no because of inconvenience or being set in my ways. I think the idea is good, i think it will be a good spot, but still... people will continue to post stuff here. IT really wont stop that. We know better, but a lot of people don't and won't.

And I see what you guys mean, it would be kind of hard to control and newbies won't know that there's a spot just for spoilers. I made a spoiler forum, but it won't rlly solve the promo pics thing...

Yes, and what PLH said. Its not a community, and sometimes it feels like more stuff is talked about on the Huddy spot than one here, which is why i've moved and this is now only my second home.

Like others have said, I think it is a good idea in theory, but I personally don't think it will work. People just need to be more considerate with their spoiler marking.

I agree completely with BB. And also, i think having a Spot just for spoilers would somehow change the nature of this Spot too.

people should be careful, that's all. careful when posting and when surfing the spot. I mean, i don't even come here before I watch the new episodes. but that's just me being extra careful. I like the fact that we can discuss the show AND upcoming things here. i think spoiler alerts are enough.
