I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Kristen Wiig: 5 Things You Didn't Know About the Actress - Hollywood Reporter
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Reagan Did It. I Can Too: A Q&A with Trump 2016
Media wars. Insults. Blockbuster ratings. America's first reality TV presidential candidate doubles down in a candid interview about Hollywood, Murdoch, Hillary and haters.
Kristen Wiig: 5 Things You Didn't Know About the Actress
)-nominated actress-screenwriter who has starred on-screen with some of Hollywood's leading comedic actresses and actors (Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph and Will Ferrell, to name a few).
looks at five facts you probably didn't know about Wiig.
Wiig studied art at the University of Arizona (and continues to draw in her free time). Following graduation, she landed a job at a plastic surgeon's office in Tucson, which she abandoned the day before her start date. "It was the day before I was about to start. I was living in a house with three other girls, who were gone for the summer, so it was just me. I remember looking around and thinking, 'I don't want this to be my life,'" she told
. "Then I looked in the mirror and was like, 'OK, if you could do anything, what would it be?' And I thought, 'I would move to L.A. Just try to act.' Even though I'd only ever taken one acting class. The next day, the Jetta was packed and I was gone, freaking out the whole way."
In her sit-down chat with Interview Magazine, Wiig said that she got into trouble as a teen. "I probably lived more of a rock-star life when I was 15. I got in trouble a fair amount. I cared more about hanging out and skipping school than studying. Which I am not recommending teenagers do if they read this," Wiig admitted. "I definitely ran with a pack of hoodlums, that’s for sure."
"I saw a show [at Groundlings] when I’d first come out to L.A. I’d never seen improv before. I didn’t even know what it was," Wiig told Interview Magazine. "But I was like, Ahhh, that’s what I want to do. I love that." She continued: "I never considered myself to be funny—maybe because socially I can be a little shy sometimes. I just didn’t think that you could be both." Wiig got her start at L.A.'s Groundlings.
that she wishes she "had less fear" in her work. "I wish I had less fear about creating my own parts. I like to write and draw and paint, and my mom's an artist, so I think I get caught up in thinking, 'I'm afraid it's gonna be bad,' and it's hard for me to start sometimes."
The actress opts for no meat in her daily diet, but says she incorporates tofu and soy as a replacement. "I'm a vegetarian; I eat a lot of tofu and soy," she told
. She drinks a lot of water and is "addicted to cranberry juice," but won't pass up "melted cheesy sandwiches" and sweets. "Dark Chocolate Peanut M&Ms are kind of the best thing that's ever been made. And lemon cupcakes from Buttercup Bake Shop, near my house. I also love hot, melted cheesy sandwiches. And sweet-potato fries," she said.
