I remember visiting this website once...
It was called The Best New Superhero Movies 2015 List
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
One of the most popular categories of new films each year has got to be Superhero movies! And it’s not just kids that love them. There are plenty of teenagers and adults that go gaga for their favorite villain or hero and 2015 will be no different.
In fact, here are the top 5 upcoming Superhero movies in 2015. I anticipate that these will also be among the best and most loved movies of the year and wouldn’t be surprised to see them on the highest grossing movies list of 2015 either.
Make sure you add your favorites from the list below as these are going to be very popular film choices in the upcoming year and you won’t want to miss them! You can also vote for your favorite and let us know in the comments your thoughts on this years choices.
The super charged movies listed below are in order of cinema air date, so remember to add them to your calendar and share with your friends!
Who’s excited for the return of the Avengers! What’s not to love right? Many of our all time favorite people with special powers are returning in the first half of 2015.
With so many Goodies to choose from it’s hard to pick a favorite from the likes of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Captain America (Chris Evans) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).
And on the other hand, there are some even better villains such as Ultron (voiced by James Spader) and no doubt Loki (Tom Hiddleston) will be up to his normal tricks.
However, this time around the threat to Earth isn’t coming from Thor’s world, but instead it’s Tony Stark that’s opened the door for an old evil to return to our galaxy.
Just when the Avengers had thought they could take a break another evil is on it’s way and it looks like it will use Iron Man’s resources to fuel it’s trail of terror.
Gotta say Ultron’s voice is really creepy and you can check out the Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer and see exactly what I mean!
I’m betting that this will also make it onto the highest grossing movies list of 2015. It might even top the list as it’s going to appeal to so many different age groups! Also something special will have to come out to knock this off the top of the list if the same fan base that went to see The Avengers goes to see the follow up, as the first movie in the franchise made over $1.5 billion in 2012.
Airing in cinema’s from June 19th, 2015
So the Fantastic Four gets another reboot in 2015 and it’s a whole new cast line up.
Out goes Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis and in comes Kate Mara (as Sue Storm), Miles Teller (as Mr Fantastic), Michael B. Jordan (as the Human Torch) and Jaime Bell (as the Thing).
However, it’s more like a reset than a reboot. We’re going back to the classic story that we have seen before and seeing again how these people gained their powers and how they became superheroes.
Will this be a hit? It’s hard to say as it will depend how this is advertised. What’s going to be different this time around? Is it going to be how it’s shot or is it all down to the new casting?
On the other hand, there have been a number of highly successful reboots or resets in recent years including Man of Steel and The Amazing Spider-Man.
Without a trailer it’s hard to tell, but there are going to be fans out there that will want to see this one. Plus it’s clear to see that the cast are younger so perhaps this will play in the story. Although makes you wonder how they got to go into space and become altered because of a cosmic cloud right?

Now I am not overly familiar with Ant-Man as it’s pretty much the first time it’s been brought to the big screen, but from what I’ve read about the cast and characters and the overall plot I’m looking forward to this one. In my opinion it has serious potential to gain a loyal audience.
The story is interesting because Ant-Man isn’t your typical hero character. In fact, he starts out as a con-man. So he doesn’t sound like the kind of person that you’d automatically want to hand a special suit that allows that person to shrink, while gaining strength. I can imagine that it would be the perfect suit to get in and out of jewellery stores without being detected and then stealing all the best goodies!
However, there’s almost always a reason for the bad guy to go good and it has something to do with helping his mentor save the world etc. I’m hoping that part of the film isn’t as lame as it sounds, but with the likes of Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lily, Paul Rudd and Judy Greer I’m thinking they can pull this one off without a hitch!

So are Hunger Games fans going to be ready to say goodbye to Katniss Everdeen after the final installment of the Hunger Games movie franchise?
As a huge fan of the books and the movies I am looking forward to seeing how it will translate onto the big screen.
Since the last book in the series is split into two, I think it’s clear the first part sets everything up, while most of the action will take place in the second half. And I am looking forward to that.
Will the last movie stay true to the book or will they deviate? How much more can I really say without spoiling it for those that haven’t read the final book? All I can say is they were awesome – Go read ‘em!
Many people will compare this movie series to the Twilight movies, but I think these are better and appeal to a wider audience. While the vampire adaption was much more girl centric, this movie franchise has managed to stay more gender neutral and is more political than purely about love struck teens with fangs.
There are talks that this won’t be the complete end of the series as there are rumors of a spin-off TV series. Will it feature the surviving cast members, I seriously doubt it… but we’ll have to wait and see. However, it is the finale so if you’ve seen the movies so far, you’ll want to get closure.
Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens
Airing in cinema’s from December 18th, 2015
Okay so for all the Star Wars geeks and normal fans, it’s time to be super stoked that what has to be the most popular sci-fi movie series of all time is making a come back.
Although some viewers were disappointed with the last three movies that were produced (what were they thinking with Ja Ja Binks??), they might be happier to hear they are setting this movie roughly thirty years after the whole, “I am your Father” moment. You know what I mean!!
So I’m thinking this will probably center around the children of Luke or Leia. And a lot of our favorite characters will return such as Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. Of course Chewbacca will make a come back, along with our favorite robots R2-D2 and C-3P0. And don’t rule out the dead Jedi (such as Yoda) as they’ve proven that they are able to use the Force to communicate with the living.
Apart from that, we’ll have to wait closer towards the end of 2015 for more details. However, this could be the biggest competition against the new Avengers movie for the top spot on the highest grossing movies list of 2015.
I’ve added a few movies below as a little extra if you’re looking for something a little wider on the powers spectrum. These are not necessarily your typical Marvel/DC Comic Book adaptations, but I think you’ll be able to see why I’ve added them to the end of this list.
Project Almanac – Teenagers that build a time machine with dire consequences. They forgot the first rule of being a hero, “with great power comes great responsibility”. You can go to see this from January 30th, 2015 in a cinema near you. This movie will make you think of all the cool stuff you’d do if you had a secret time machine and how you’d be way smarter than these kids!
Insurgent – Fans of the Divergent series will be super stoked about the sequel being made and will be available for your viewing pleasure from March 20th, 2015 onwards. Tris is Divergent and can control the simulations and is out to save her people and she may be the only person that can.
Tomorrowland – This girl can go to another world when she touches a special pin and she has to help save the world. This looks like it could be a really good movie since it’s starring George Cluny, Hugh Laurie and Britt Robertson. Plus it’s another time/place reality gig which can be really cool if done properly. The trailer was really good at getting the premise of the film across and if you love flying men like Iron Man then I think this will have a lot in store for you.
Minions – They unwittingly save us from villains all the time by killing them off, by accident of course! I can’t wait to see Minions. I know this movie is mostly about villains but it’s gonna be hilarious as usual and perhaps even more so since so we’ll learn so much more about out little yellow “not so helpful” helpers, from July 10th, 2015. I’m not missing this one and I think you’ll love this too!
