5SOS'S MICHAEL CLIFFORD APOLOGISES FOR 'BEING AN ASSHOLE' AFTER GETTING MOBBED BY FANS IN SYDNEY

It\'s always a bit of a shock to see 5SOS\'s Michael Clifford out and experiencing human contact when he could be at home colouring in pictures of Pokémon, but that\'s exactly what happened when he hopped on a plane at LAX to jet home to Sydney this weekend.

Unfortunately Mikey\'s trip down under sounds like it was a bit of a stressful one and he ended up getting mobbed by 5SOS fans well excited to see his face when he arrived at the airport.

There are many skills you have to learn when you get a bit famous. Like how to wear jeans so tight they cut off the blood circulation to your crotch without throwing up and, of course, how to deal with having a whole bunch of fans so excited by your presence that they just can\'t seem to help screaming in your face.

But being on his own without the rest of 5SOS, it sounds like this particular experience was a bit full on and while things all started off fairly casually with him taking cute selfies like the ones above, it looks like things ended up getting a bit full-on when he was totally surrounded - as you can see in this video.

While some fans were being awesome and telling people to give him room to be a human being, it looks like a few got a bit carried away and there was some pushing and shoving going on, which is lame. 5SOS fans online aren\'t too happy about the way some people were either and are circulating the vid in the hope people think about what they\'re doing and always remember to be respectful.

It sounds like Mikey was a bit upset by the whole thing too and tweeted to apologise to anyone there if they felt like he was being rude by rushing off without having a chance to meet everyone there.

Posting on Twitter after, he said: "SO DAMN STRESSED. sorry to anyone I was an asshole to tonight, honestly didn\'t mean to be." [sic]

To be fair to Michael, it sounds like fans weren\'t offended at all and many have taken to the twittersphere to say that he was actually a total gent and took loads of selfies before prancing off into the sunset.

Maybe let\'s all just remember that while it\'s awesome to see your faves irl, they are probably going to be way more interested in a chat/hug/pic if you don\'t do the scary screaming in the face and chasing them thing.
