God damn. I don't know (or care) how old this club is, JFC this movie was fucking amazing. I never thought I'd really be tearing up at something like this, but god damn, its left a long-lasting impression on me. As I speak, I'm even writing fanfics now. Not really kissy-shit but more like continuations of the film, in a 'what-if' modern Zootopia-like setting. I think its working well. I'll give an excerpt. Posted 9 months ago

"I can see those fucks from a mile away.. They never fix up their fucking appearances.." Gabu mutters - eyeing his cohort looking about as they walk towards the lobby. "Who?" Mei asks, approaching Gabu. 9 months ago

"It's my former pack," Gabu replies, his voice laced with bitterness. "They must have tracked us down or followed us. Those scruffy wolves..." He clenches his fists, a mix of anger 9 months ago

While the movie did have a good story I can't help but feel that the communication between Gabu and Mai wasn't natural, their friendship doesn't grow like you would expect normally. In fact it almost seems like a innocent romance between them, which explains why I've seen comments about them being "Gay". However that's the only thing I find wrong, I really loved the beauty of the landscapes. Posted over a year ago

Yeah, when I first watched the movie, I also thought it was a gay romance but the writer of the original book never mentioned Mei's gender. over a year ago

I doubt any of you are still active on here, but the funny part is, the gender was always meant to be a male. The original author simply omitted it, because they saw it as unimportant to the overall story. Definitely a shocker for those thinking it was a 'boy-meets-girl' Romeo and Juliet-esque situation. 9 months ago

So I mean, it could be considered a pg-13 gay romance exploration. You really can't say it wasn't, especially when you had that one part in the movie where Gabu is literally fucking drooling over the sight of Mei's ass. (though, to the plot, it's more just a really inconvenient placement, as this is early on in their introduction where he is simply just hungry because they're a goat.) 9 months ago
