At first they started out black and grey
Past and present all thoughts a'stray
As she walked thru my mind
With her whitty smile
I remembered how it was
When she was gone for awhile
When she was home she would be drunk
And tell us "go to your room!"

Why the bad ones I remember
I want to know the good too
I can hear her yelling for something out of place
I ran up the stairs to a swipe in my face
A kick on the floor and blood out my mouth
The ringing in my ears over her shout
She would then chug a bottle and tell me sorry
I would say "its ok, I'm sorry too mommy"
My memories still discolored
But there's one that...
