Every time I see this movie I have to cry. This has to be one of my favourite movies of all time. I'll never get tired of watching it. <3

Though I love Tom Hanks the actor, I'm disappointed that his character Paul, knowing that Coffey was innocent, proceeded to execute him anyway.

There was nothing he could have done. Executions were probably never stopped in those days. And no one but them would ever believe that John Coffey was innocent. There was no evidence that could be shown anyway. Also, in the South in those days, with William Wharton being a white minor and John Coffey being a giant black man found with the victims, there was no way any jury would reconsider. And that's how it is today too, allot if innocent men getting executed.over a year ago
