Because Zayn Malik isn\'t a man of many words, \'insiders\', sources\' and blabbermouth media outlets always seem to be having his say for him - which the latest batch of quotes suggesting he\'s \'trying to nab\' One Direction songwriter Jamie Scott to pen his solo music.

So Jamie Scott - who is partly responsible for writing \'Drag Me Down\' and \'Infinity\' amongst other 1D based musical magic - is an oracle word smith when it comes to nailing tracks for the fellas.

And according to the latest sources, Zayn Malik\'s quite keen to get him on board with his solo career once One Direction go on their break-not-break-up.

According to a source at The Mirror, el Maliko reckon\'s Jamie is the route to a successful single, and so he\'s been pestering him with messages asking whether he\'s keen to get together in the studio.

An insider commented: "Zayn knows Jamie is a ticket to a hit and has been sending messages to him trying to get the songwriter on board.

"But Jamie feels that working with Zayn could cause problems because of his history with the band.

"In any case Zayn won\'t be releasing his single until 1D is out the way and a couple of other 1D singles are out."

Hmm. Considering Zane Lowe has already heard Zayn\'s solo stuff and reckons it\'s great, it seems unlikely that Zayn will be holding off until One Direction\'s \'extended hiatus\', which casts a whole load of doubt over all these quotes.
