~Plot Stuff~
Hundreds and hundreds of years ago, there existed an otherworldly arcane essence that existed by the name of Magic/Magick. This essence was a variety of things. Lush and in great abundance, full of life and a energy that science had become a pale reflection of in the years that followed. However, it was also an essence that harbored a wicked face as well, bound to attract misfortune and death to all who were able to understand and or obtain it if not tamed properly. The secrets of this essence falling into the wrong hands would bring nothing but catastrophe.

And catastrophe it brought, those hundreds a years ago. One that thrust magic into an era in which it had began to fade and a new form of energy created at the hands of man became the new. The world in which magic had come from became a myth, magic itself became a myth as time progressed and left it to fade and never be seen again.

Or perhaps....what isn't seen isn't truly gone. And perhaps...the world thought to be myth is much more than just so. But what is certain is that what has lurked in the veils of shadows within the darkness, behind illusions of people, places and things. Forces that had managed to slip into the ages of the new world. Those of good. Those of evil and malice. Those of...magic. And perhaps...hope. But...will the newest of generations derived from those hundreds of years be able to face what comes?

And so we fly ahead in time to the present, where villages have become cities of tall structures, and dreams of flight have become a reality.

Yoon's brows remained furrowed through her crying. She continued to resist his grip, grunting some as she avoided eye contact with him now. "....i-i don't know..." Yoon mumbled. "....i don't.... I SAID I DON'T KNOW!" She screamed it loud and clear to answer his questions. "I didn't have a strategy or a plan or answer or a place---" She paused to sniffle. "Okay?! I didn't have any of that!" She felt like burrowing her head in a pillow and lying there for eternity. "It was either I left the house o-or I unintentionally blew up everything in there including my mom and brother because of something I CAN'T CONTROL!" Yoon cried. "SO I WAS GOING TO LEAVE FOR A LITTLE BIT." She admitted angrily. But her anger couldn't help but turn into sadness the more she heard Abel's cruel words. "Y-You know just b-because you play a tough guy and r-refuse to feel any emotion doesn't mean that I do too!" She swallowed a sour knot of tears. She felt like she was back in high school where she used to be pinned against lockers by her collar, thrown similar insults, and left to hang until a teacher would come and help her since she couldn't reach the floor. "Y-YOU YELLING AT ME DOESN'T ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING EITHER!" Yoon scolded back. And oddly the usual wave of magic from anger she felt inside was no longer summoned. The young woman gritted her teeth once she was released, glaring at him from the edge of the bed. She brought her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. It looked as if she was about to say something else, but she bit her tongue and lowered her chin to her knees, trembling slightly. Yoon didn't want to see the text messages or missed calls from her phone. In fact, she felt like throwing her phone at Abel's head, but refrained because she was scared of what would happen. So instead, her teary gaze was focused on the carpet floor while trying to control her sniffles.

"Yelling? I have yet to raise my voice, for I see no point within it. Only a child goes out of their way to raise their voice when its needless." Abel shook his head at her. What he saw in front of him was disappointment. An individual so frail as to rely on an emotional spectrum that only promoted error filled actions. He found it..pathetic. He saw her as a small creature that bared fangs much too big for her jaws to carry, able to growl but unable to feed. Impractically inadequate, weak-minded and inept. Lacking any sense of order. "Your ears hear what they wish in the moments of your feebleness. And in turn you accomplish nothing. Furthermore, I don't act as anything, and for you to speak of my duty as if it were some game speaks volumes. In conclusion, I have no further questions. Get up. I'll be escorting you to your mother."

Yoon stayed put in her huddled position, shaking her head at his last comment. “I-I’m not going back. I-I don’t want to.” She wiped her nose with her sleeve. Yoon rolled her eyes at his response to one of her comments. “Yeah, y-you’re acting like a douchebag.” She muttered. “I-I didn’t say your job was a game, I-I said the way you treat people is.” She huffed, missing Yasha’s way of giving advice than he did. “I-It’s like i-I’m not allowed to go through the process of learning, I’m just supposed to be born perfect, r-right? Because I chose to collapse on the street and wanted to be sexually assaulted and wanted the droven to find me so bad. I wanted him to tear my skin like he said he would and drain me bit by bit, right? Now with so much power in my hands I’m supposed to understand the balance of the universe and I’m not allowed to make any mistakes. B-Because mistakes are just weak and worthless in your eyes...” she paused. “Yeah, my mom definitely taught you.” She shook her head in dismay, swallowing another knot of tears. “G-give me my bag back... please.”

"Nothing in this world is perfect. Mistakes are to be made, as they are natural. But how they're made by the individual is what determines them to be worthless as well as what they've gathered from them. And when there is no longer room for mistakes, then growth is made." But then Abel's brows furrowed. "And you're correct. Your mother did teach me. She taught me precision and to respect those who deserve so in a world where you're perceived and treated as you present yourself. That the seeds of your downfalls are the fruits of your success. And so I'd accept being the "douchebag" that succeeds in breathing rather than the idiot that succeeds in drowning. But to expect a woman-child such as yourself to comprehend such simplicity seems to be akin to a pebble learning to speak. Learning nor understanding doesn't appear to be your strong suit either. And so perhaps I am giving the pebble too less credit." He straightened his suit. "Anyhow, you're belonging have already been transported and you are returning as I've informed your mother. I'll say it again. Get up. I'd advise allowing this to be a simple transitioning, or force will be used to make it so."

“I have enough money that I MADE to sustain m-myself, I am NOT dependent on my mother. And if me wanting to avoid hurting my family makes me the idiot that drowns, then...” She scoffed, using her other sleeve to wipe her eyes. “Now if you excuse me, I have nothing else to do but eat for survival, right? I’m booking a motel, this is too expensive and I wouldn’t want to dorm and bother you with my ignorance and stupidity. My chewing sounds might harm your ears.” She was already standing up, a little stiff from earlier.

Abel only shook his head this time, not bothering with continuing to speak to someone that clearly wasn't within his range of intelligence, let alone waste anymore of his time with the woman-child since he had gotten the answers that he needed to confirm details for the Council. He simply walked forward and rather rashly took Yoon by the back of the neck as if she were a newborn pup before forcing her towards the door. Opening and closing it on his way out, his posture calm while steering the young woman forward down the hall with relative ease.

“H-Hey what a-are you—Oww!!!” Yoon yelped when she was grabbed by the back of her neck. She stirred in his grasp, dragging her shoes on the carpet to slow his pace through the power of friction. “L-Let go of me!!!” She demanded. “You h-have no right to put a h-hand on me!” She tried hitting Abel with her elbows. “Help! Help me!” She exclaimed to the nearby workers. “Abel let g-go of me, I don’t want to go!”

"Really?" Abel said sharply when Yoon had started to attempt to hit him and scream.

"Hey! Hey, what are you do–" One of the workers started, but then realized who it was. "Oh..I think she's had a little TOO much to drink dontcha think?"

"Yes." Was all that Abel said as he continued to force Yoon from the hotel with the use of brute force. However, the grip that he had on her increased in pressure immediately. His opposite hand grabbed her by the back of the waist of her pants before he yanked her feet from under her, treating her like a screeching child that knocked down the shelves in a Walmart before having to be taken home.

Yoon stared at disbelief at the worker’s reaction. “N-no—he is—OWOWOWOW!!!” She squirmed. “A-Abel, you’re hurting me!” She exclaimed with genuine fear. It wasn’t as much pressure as when the droven held her by her neck, but it sure was similar enough to bring back those haunting memories. She still attempted to resist, but the more she failed the more humiliated she felt that she couldn’t even save herself. Her body eventually gave in, one because she was tired and two because she felt like he was going to break her neck. After all, the droven had been very close in doing so. Her limbs went limp and she accepted her defeat for the sake of her own life, something she didn’t expect from a so called friend of her mother. Toon frowned, staring at the ground below her in a droopy silence now.

"Hell yeah! Let's do it, girl!" Sammy said getting pumped with excitement. She actually remembered basing some of her art off of the giant designs of the creatures in this game, along with other works of fantasy. As Raven was putting the game into the console, Sammy picked up a second controller, holding it in her hands before she asked, "You wanna be player one or player two?"

"At least I can pay for decent food when I can. How do you even manage working in a gas station and whatever the hell else you do" Leo said with a tone of annoyance, leaning back in his seat as his shoes squeaked against the hard floor, "And if you say stealing, we're gonna have a real problem"

Raven looked at Sammy with a raised eyebrow while snickering a little, thinking that she was joking. "I mean, I wish they made a multiplayer version of this game. Would be pretty sick. But give me a sec, I'll get everything plugged up." She leaned back a little before pushing herself up off of the sofa to set everything up. She was flopping back down onto the cushions of the sofa in no time, having rolled the box TV over in front of the monitors and plugged everything where it needed to go.

Abel pushed through the rotating door of the hotel, his own silence a sharper blade than his words were while he carried Yoon towards the parking lot. The closer they got to the car, the more he felt as if his better judgement towards his former teacher shifting ever so slightly with each step. Once they reached the car he put Yoon on her feet but shoved her against the side of the car and held her there in case she attempted to run while he unlocked and opened her door, practically stuffing her into the passengers seat and closing the door in a rather harsh manner. After getting into the car himself, he was putting his key into the ignition when his phone rung briefly with what sounded like the tick of a clock. And when he looked at it, he saw it was a message in the form of a series of numbers that went: 000-944-000.

And upon seeing this he stored away his phone and shifted the car into reverse, the tires giving a light screech as he backed out of the space as he had parked in and exited the lot.

"What?! Aww man, that would be sick" Sammy leaned back in a bit of a disappointed manner, but gave a shrug, "Aw well, I'd probably fuck it all up anyway. I'd be better watching from the sidelines and getting my creative juices flowing until they're ready to burst from my skull. You get what I mean, Rave?" Sammy said, completely expecting Raven to not understand a word of what she meant, which was the way Sammy liked it. Of course, her playful snickering already gave the humor away. She let herself get comfortable on the couch as Raven sat down and gave a nod, "Well, don't disappoint me, Rave. Show me what skills you got."

Yoon grumbled some under her breath when Abel slammed the door on her. The woman rubbed at the back of her neck for comfort. She watched as Abel walked around the car and into the driver’s seat, observing him back out of the parking spot. But her head perked some when she heard his phone ring, blinking in curiosity. However, she knew if she asked what was it, he would simply respond with a creative “none of your business”. And so instead she sunk some on her seat, not noticing how comfortable his car was until she realized when they traveled to the hotel she was actually passed out within the legroom area.

“Stealing?” Kore chuckled at this. Yet, she pursed her lips in thought of an answer. “Well I don’t steal without consent of course.” She grinned playfully. “But as of how I manage...” The pink-haired woman chuckled. “I think it’s best for your mental health to stay guessing. I’ll be nice and say it does involve a lot of flexibility though.” She wiggled her right eyebrow innocently.

"You're a real classy lady, aren't ya" Leo said sarcastically, tapping his finger on the table impatiently now as he waited, thinking if he should respond to Abel through a text. Abel was more serious about getting all the info as soon as possible, if a bit of a hard ass in his mind. But he decided that having one person getting on his nerves was enough and decided to just let it slide for the mean time. Instead, he did what he could to not try and antagonize Kore, rather to at least try to stay on her good side while she was in a tolerable mood and spoke, "Well, find it hard to believe, it's good that one of my better sources of info is still alive and kicking. Especially with the chaos from last night."

And like Sammy had expected, Raven hadn't understood a thing that she had said and ended up replying with, "Uh...yeah..sure, I guess." She was just getting into relaxing against sofa when Sammy had said something that made her turn and look at her, giving two blinks of her eyes. "Oh no you don't! This ones all for you Sam," She said, handing her the controller. "I don't mind watching. I've played and beat this game a trillion times already." And by "a trillion" she meant four times. "I'll give you some pointers and stuff, like a better tutorial. It'll be fun." She said, giving her a more relaxed smile now.

~

Once Abel got to the road, everything seemed peaceful until the moment he pulled off. The car's tires screeched against the ground before launching out into traffic and turning towards the left. The car was quick to pick up speed and as he cut in front of a car that was deemed to be driving too slow, he placed his hand on the radio.

And this is when Yoon would find that this was no ordinary car. A bold white line scanned Abel's hand from top to bottom, and in just a few seconds the basic radio began to fold into the dashboard dash. The radio's buttons were replaced by blinking blue ones that held a much more sleek look with a number pad being projected into a small section of its own.

Abel's fingers tapped over the numbers rapidly, but his eyes remained on the road and his other hand on the steering wheel keeping the car steady without a problem. When a button emerged from a slot that wasn't visible on the side of the wheel until it opened, he pressed and held it. "Abel out to Cain. Respond."

From a speaker somewhere on the the steering wheel, a gravely voice answered. "Copy. Knife in hand, Commander."

"Prepare to Initiate Operation Devils In The Noon Garden. I'll be there shortly." Abel responded.

"Copy," The voice repeated again. "Going static."

The radio gave a small flash as Abel went tapping away at the number again rapidly, and everything began to return to its former appearance.

"Oh, uh, I don't know. I may not be the best at it" Sammy said, waving off her response, yet she took the controller anyway, leaning in a bit more as she watched the cutscene start up for the game, looking at the visuals, a bit impressed that it could be on older hardware. Of course, she wouldn't get to admire it for long, as her first mistake was pressing the start button too early and jumping into the gameplay, "... oops" She said, already feeling that a mistake was made, leaving her to circle around and get a feel for the controls, "Okay, so moving is this, the weird glowy sword thing is this, this jumps, this makes him scream like a fool, this, uh... Is important, I'm sure." Though a slow start, Sammy was doing her best, and to Raven's surprise, was able to make her way out of the first area and onto the horse, even managing to figure out that the light points in the right direction 'like a GPS' as she put it casually.

Raven started laughing when Sammy accidentally skipped the opening scene before it had really gotten a chance to get halfway through, and at Sammy's "Oops" she told her not to worry about it. After all, she would get to see it more than once after today. Or at least she hoped so, anyways. She wasn't really to surprised when Sammy made it out of the first since to her it was the easy part. I wonder if she'd play Darksouls, she thought to herself while watching.

Sammy was starting to climb her way up the wall in the game, slowly, and clumsily, but surely, getting up there, finding the controls to be very awkward and joking, "Why am I playing as a drunk man?" But her jokes stopped as soon as she met the first boss, a large colossus walking past her. "Oh dear. What is that? Is that the Colossus? Do I fight him...... I'm gonna fight him". Sammy came to her own conclusion before Raven even could, making her character run toward the boss before he struck at her, causing her to panic and fire arrows before she was pounded into the ground, barely surviving. Remembering the climbing, she jumped onto the creature and starting climbing, now leaning in forward again to focus once more. Though she fell off three times, she was barely able to make it back up and start stabbing at random parts of the boss, only to start stabbing when she saw the shiny object, slashing at the bosses weakspot and almost getting close before falling off again, leading Sammy to release a shrill shriek before climbing back up, cursing at the creature in an aggressive manner before finally killing it, giving a sigh of relief. Before Raven could even congratulate her, Sammy responded in a way only she could. "I'm really sweaty"
over a year ago afewseconds said…
"Wait wait wait, DON'T–" Raven tried to say before Sammy rushed ahead into a boss battle. And when the arrows were shot out of Sammy's panic, some of them missing the target completely, she started laughing a little. But it wasn't until the character had gotten completely slaughtered did she burst into a full on laughter that sounded a little like a cackle, albeit a pleasant one. But she found herself leaning in a little along with Sammy when the character charged back in again and again. It was the final time that she did that Raven was cheering her on. "Go! Go go–climb! Fuck'em up Sammy! KICK ITS ASS!"
She cheered when the creature began to tumble to the ground, and when Sammy spoke she looked at her with a grin. "Feels kinda good to kill a boss tho right?" Even though it was only the first one.
over a year ago Windwakerguy430 said…
"Hell yeah it does" Sammy said, putting down the controller so she could wipe the sweat from her palms onto her jeans, letting out a bit of excited laughter from the ordeal, "Well, I had you helping me out, being a good motivator, coach! If I ever need help killing a big old monster, I'll be sure to give you a call." Sammy said, though she was now really hoping that no such thing would happen. Of course, she wasn't sure how fictional that was now. But she shook it out of her head and spoke, "Man, so this is what I've been missing out on. Can't believe I grew up in a house of no-fun-having fuckin' losers" Sammy kept her joyful attitude, but Raven could feel a sort of aggression in her tone near the end there. But before she could ask, Sammy say back down and asked, "So, did I win the game?"
over a year ago afewseconds said…
"What? Hell no, there's like fourteen more of those things–and boy, if you think that guy was something just wait until you get around to seeing the other ones." Raven answered with a snicker. She had noticed the undertone of anger in Sammy's voice from a few seconds ago, but she decided not to ask about it. She felt as if she could feel the aggression that Sammy spoke with every time she mentioned where she had grown up. And she didn't know why, but she felt like it made her a little angry as well. Luckily the fun that they were having was enough to counter it for the time being.

"Fourteen?!" Sammy said, her eyes widening behind her glasses as she let them slide down the bridge of her nose, showing her eyes in shock as she spoke, "Man, that's gonna take forever" She gave a shake of her head before she took her glasses off, putting them onto her hat as she shrugged, "Guess I'm gonna need these suckers off so I can see better if we're gonna be killing all of them. But hey, I can handle something twice my size. I've had to share a room with Mason for like years." She chuckled in a silly manner as she picked the controller back up, cracking her knuckles as she prepared herself for another boss fight

Yoon watched in curiosity the radio change appearance, almost stretching her hand out enough to touch it herself. However she retreated it before Abel could smack her or yell at her. Yoon sat up straight, her attention going to the rest of the car as she wondered if anything else changed. “T-This... is a nice car...” She mumbled out loud. Her eyes later went to the buildings they passed by, fidgeting with her fingers within the pockets of her hoodie. "C-Can I... ask you something?" She gulped.

"Better sources?" Kore's brows raised sarcastically. "Suuure, but I'll always be your favorite one~" She teased.

Before she could say anything else, the waitress came back with a large bag and a cup holder containing the alcoholic beverages. She gave back Leo his card before smiling. "Anything else we can do for the lovely couple?"

Kore giggled. "Nope, that's all! Thanks old lady!" She grabbed her paper bag containing the delicious pasta, then used her left hand to hold the margarita that was placed in a high quality plastic container. Kore took a sip from the opened slit before finally her attention went to Leo. "Anyways, later dork, don't get in too much trouble now." She teased. "Oh, and thanks for the pasta I guess." Leo turned to Kore as she stepped out the door, giving a roll of his eyes as he held his margarita in his hand, knowing that it would be a mistake to drink it while he was driving, so planned on getting back to the stake out point for the day. He thanked the woman for the service, took his card and stepped out, giving an annoyed sigh as he thought to himself, "That woman is more trouble than she's worth. But at least I got the info I needed. I should try and limit the amount of favors I have for her" Leo got into his car, setting the drink into the cup holder and finally placed a cigarette into his mouth, lighting it and taking a long drag on it, exhaling, letting the stress exit like it was the very cloud of smoke that escaped his lips. He placed the cigarette between his lips as he started the engine, making his way back to the arcade to stake out for the evening

Abel didn't say anything at all when he heard Yoon's compliment towards the car, though he did keep her words in mind when a thought came to the forefront.

The number pad blinked once before disappearing in a fashion almost similar to how holographs in movies did when they disappeared. The button slid back into its discrete compartment on the steering wheel while the radio was readjusting it's position until it was back in place completely.

"C-can I ask you something?"

Abel didn't reply instantly, expecting another fit to come from her. And when he finally answered after a minute of silence he made himself clear. "If it involves any matter pertaining to you wanting to inflate your issues then the answer is no. If this isn't the case, then speak."

~

Raven giggled at the bit about Mason and also at how Sammy laughed. And though she thought that something like a colossus in real life would be more than just twice their size, that didn't matter. The pointy-headed club wreckers came to mind though, causing her to cower against the back of the sofa a little and she wrapped her arms around herself for some comfort against the thought of the things.

Yoon stayed quiet for an extra few seconds as she figured how to phrase her question. She didn’t even think Abel would allow her to ask the question, so his response was quite unexpected. “W-what... or how...” She stopped herself to avoid stumbling on her words. “When you had a hold on me on my neck I wasn’t able to escape...” She began. “Or when I was against the door... or when you sat me down.” Yoon recalled with slight annoyance and embarrassment. “But I know if you were in my position, you would have escaped, maybe thrown a few hits yourself.... a-and I wanted to ask how...? W-where was I supposed to strike or when and h-how? I was in a similar situation with someone else having a grip on my neck and I couldn’t move... I-I was really scared, actually.” She fidgeted her fingers within her hoodie. “B-but I want to be prepared if it h-happens again, s-so... how would I... escape?” Yoon figured Abel had an answer if he was so well trained.

Sammy was snickering a bit more, at least until she turned over to see Raven wrapping her arms around herself in silence. Sammy's laughter had slowed down until coming to a stop. If there was anyone who wanted a good time to go on forever, it was Sammy, but even she couldn't help but be worried when she saw Raven there, silent and a bit worried. Sammy looked over and asked, "Hey, Rave, you cool? You seem lost in thought"

Abel's brows furrowed due to him not expecting the question to be what it was. "That would depend on your opponent and their intentions," He said. "Which also depends on your innate strengths and weaknesses both physically and mentally. As an example, my intentions were to subdue you. I am superior in terms of combat and individual analysis, and so if you sought to escape then you would have to attempt to kill me. However with your current, clearly inferior physique and lack of strategy as well as combat experience, your chances of success would be zero with a very slim ratio of one out of a thousand. If the factor of myself having intentions to kill you were to be included, then your chances of success would be zero with a ratio of zero out of a thousand. Meaning in the first of the scenarios, it would take you a thousand attempts to succeed once. For every one time you succeed, I have successfully subdued you a thousand times. In the second scenario with a factor of killing intent, you would die with no chance of success. This is due to numerous reasons, one of them being your lack of the ability to strike effectively. A strike from you differs greatly from one from myself. While your strike softens cotton, my strikes have fatal potential."
Despite the red light signaling just as they were coming across the white lines on the street, he continued to speak as he ran it still. "If the roles were reversed and you were seeking to subdue me for reasons logical and known to me, I would not resist. But if you were presenting yourself in a manner to be a threat to the surroundings or myself, I could start with knocking your knees from your sockets. Your posture is sloppy, and so your legs are weak. I could go for your throat and close your windpipes with a simple strike. I could use the difference in size and overpower you, or simply the difference in height and arm length to knock you unconscious. If fatal force were involved, snapping your neck would be swift and undemanding. That is how I would handle the situation. In a way that takes minimal effort and guarantees success. However what may guarantee success for me may not guarantee success for yourself."

The way he explained things were almost bordering on a warning of some sort, though it wasn't quite clear. In fact, the blankness of his expression could lead one to believe that it was something that he had already thought about beforehand.

~

"Y-yeah, I'm good." Raven lied, her eyes dodging Sammy's for a moment as she tried to push the image of the pyramid-headed whatever the hell it was before. "Just a little tired still. B-but not like, sleepy tired or anything," she added quickly.

Yoon gritted her teeth in annoyance as Abel went on and on about how her chances to win were none. It wasn't as if she didn't already know that with his constant reminders. She rolled her eyes–but the more he went on about closing her windpipe or snapping her neck or knocking her unconscious with such ease, the more disturbed she felt. A very sick feeling washed over her at the thought that his ideas could have potentially happened today. "....m-my legs a-aren't that weak..." She muttered, a little offended. "I-I can i-improve my posture... somehow..." Yoon stared down at her small hands, unable to imagine herself acting out any of Abel's personal suggestions. The most a punch of hers might do is break her own wrist. At the thought of this, she clutched her wrists with a frown. Perhaps the only thing she might be able to accomplish is pushing her opponent's knees inwards for a brief moment where she could escape. But even then, her thoughts went back to the slim chances of a win out of a thousand losses. She gulped, bringing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them again in thought. She frowned at the thought of how weak she was without magic. But then she realized she hadn't thanked him for his response to her question. "..o-oh... um.. Thank you..." She said, resting her chin back on her knees.

Sammy looked over at Raven, her lips moving to the side in thought as she could feel... something off about her statement. She wasn't sure if she wanted to push or not, but instead, she just gave a sigh and replied, "Alright, if you say so, Rave." She leaned back into the couch and asked, "So what do you wanna do next?"

"Thank you?" Abel glanced over at Yoon, his gaze questioning and searching her face briefly until his attention went back to the road. "You're welcome." He took the last turn he needed to take down the road that would take them back to the Park's apartment, his thoughts now focused on the young woman in the seat opposite to his. At least she seems to have inherit her mother's manners, he thought to himself but didn't allow it to persuade him so easily. But suddenly he asked her, "What are your intentions for activity tomorrow?"

~

Raven thought about the question for a little bit, realizing that she didn't exactly know what it was to do after gaming. She usually wasn't out this early in the day to began with, and spent more time at home either on her laptop, sleeping, or reading, with the largest portion of that time going towards sleep since she was usually out all night. "We could go grab a bite to eat or somethin' if you want. Ya hungry?" She asked finally. And then that's when something else came to mind as well, and she praised Dean internally when the idea came to her. "W-we can get some popcorn while we're at it and watch some movies–I-I mean if you're down for that."

Yoon's eyes met with Abel's when he glanced at her, quickly averting them to avoid eye contact. Instead, she focused on the familiar roads she dreaded returning to. But her attention was brought back when she hard Abel talk again, blinking in confusion at his question. "Intentions for activity?" Her left brow raised, breaking her huddled position and sitting up normally. "Oh..." She interpreted his question with a small roll of her eyes. "I-I'm not going to be escaping again if that's what you're trying to know." She sighed. "I already learned my lesson a-and I rather not be sUbDuEd again." She rubbed some at the back of her neck.

"You misunderstand what I've asked," Abel responded blandly. "In simpler terms, by intentions for activity I mean what is it that you will be busying yourself with tomorrow? Whatever your schedule maybe, assuming that it won't be much of schedule to began with, empty it and ensure that its cleared." He said while pulling into the parking lot. "I'll be arriving to retrieve you tomorrow morning. And please, do wear something more presentable for the occasion instead of another pair of those insufferably dusty sweat pants."

“B-But they’re comfy!” Yoon defended her sweatpants with a small blush across her cheeks. She looked down at them, brushing her hands against them. “Soft and warm too.” She added. This wasn’t the first time she had been called out for her choice of outfit. “Much better than t-those pants you wear! You should try these for a change.” Yoon suggested. But then her head tilted slightly. “F-for the occasion? What occasion? Does it accept my sneakers?”

Abel rolled her eyes at the "defense" she put towards her choice of clothing. While parking the car, he answered Yoon's questions. "Yes. I suppose that ordinary footwear will be acceptable if and only if they are a clean pair. Nothing less. Comfortable or not, I refuse to be in public with someone dressing less than decent." Or rather so much less decent than himself if anything. "As for the occasion," he continued while opening his door, "We'll be taking a excursion into town."

“L-Less than d-decent?!” Her brows wiggled and her mouth quivered into a shameful frown. She looked down at her dirtied sneakers, then back up at Abel. “They’re not that bad...” However, it wouldn’t hurt to scrub her shoes for an extra shine. Yoon sighed, opening her side of the door and muttering to herself as she exited the car. After gently closing it, she thought more about the occasion Abel had mentioned. “An excursion into town seems to require comfortable clothing. Everyone in Florida dresses like me!” But that wasn’t the case at all. On the contrary, other women her age would doll themselves up in skirts or shorts and tube tops. Not to mention a pound or two of makeup on their faces. Yoon stared at her reflection from the glassy car before slowly walking herself around it. “I don’t look nice in these so called “nice clothes”, h-how about joggers instead of sweatpants?”

Abel's narrowing eyes seemed to give Yoon a muted answer as he closed his door and was heading around the car. He ended up meeting her at the front of the car.

Oddly enough, the well dressed man brought the woman to a stop, his fingers pressing against the sides of her chin with a cold but surprisingly gentle touch compared to before. Her turned her face to the left at first, and then to the right before tipping her head back slightly.

"I'd suggest clothing yourself in something loosely green or beige," Abel went on to say. "It will bring out more of the features you have that would be deemed personable." He continued towards and through the door of the apartment building.

Yoon was already starting to take a step back when she saw Abel approach her. And when he extended his hand, she flinched and braced herself for perhaps one of the suggestions of attack he mentioned earlier. But she opened her eyes when she found his hands on her face. They widened, and she immediately retracted her neck away from his grasp just as he was tipping her head back. "P-Personal space p-please!" Yoon exclaimed, the same redness from earlier swelling across her cheeks and small nose. Her hands went up to cup the areas he had touched, watching him make his way into the apartment building. Yoon huffed, swallowing her words and straightening her cat hoodie. But in the short time she had done so, she realized how much distance Abel made between them. "...w-wait you're going too fast!" She started walking, having to pick up her pace so that her short legs wouldn't fall behind.

Of course, he had stopped momentarily to hold the door for Yoon when he took notice that she had fallen behind some beforehand. He stepped up the stairs with a business stride in his pace, yet his steps of his feet were barely audible.

Yoon frowned when she realized she was going to have to face her worst enemy thanks to the reparations: stairs. She looked up the staircase, then glanced at Abel who was already well ahead. She had to skip two steps at a time in an attempt to catch up with him. Within minutes, she was already panting. "....o-okay, m-maybe my legs a-are a little w-weak." She admitted, giving an effort of a chuckle. "Wait up!" She outstretched her hand and attempted to grab his sleeve for him to slow down, but accidentally found herself grabbing his ring and pinky finger. She quickly pulled away, apologizing just as fast in a stumble. "...i-if you can afford to dress nice y-you can afford to wait a little!" She hurried up the eight stairs to finally catch up with him.

If it wasn't for how aware he was of his surroundings due to his lack of touch, he wouldn't have noticed the small tug at his arm when Yoon had grabbed his fingers. And as she apologized, he seemed to almost squint at her just a little. "What would be the logic in waiting when we're both expecting to arrive at the same location?" Abel asked, finding her comparison between the way he dressed and him waiting faulty. But, he did give her a few seconds to catch up with him just in case she ended up passing out again since she looked to be struggling with just a couple of stairs. "Do you require assistance continuing up the rest of the case?"

"Hmmm.... B-But if I fall too far behind then I might just decide to escape again, a-and you would have a tougher time catching me this time!" She responded, pointing out a possible flaw if she left her behind too often. But then her smile fell crooked when she realized what she said might have sounded like a threat. "N-Not that I-I'm planning to!" She quickly squeaked in. But at his offer of aiding her up the stairs, her expression of worry turned into one of puzzlement. "...Oh, n-no thank you. I'm not trying to prove everything you said in the car true!" Yoon attempted a joke. This only encouraged her to quicken her pace where she briefly passed Abel only because he had slowed down.

"If you were able to scale a flight of stairs without sounding as if your lungs were collapsing, then I would have considered that true." Abel said with a life-lacking attempt at a chuckle that came in the form of breaths from his nostrils. Aside from that even if she had decided to attempt to escape, he knew that she wouldn't get far. In fact she would be lucky to reach the door, especially with her lacking stamina. He followed behind her until his pace began to return and he stepped ended up a step of head. Once they reached the top of the stairs, he went to the apartment of the Park family and knocked on the door despite having one the residence there with him.

Yoon didn't find a possible collapse of her lung as funny as Abel did, but she still managed to give an effort of a grin. Her grin was about to turn genuine from her victory of finishing the stairs, but right before she was able to celebrate Abel passed her with ease. She blinked, mumbling some to herself once she reached the top of the staircase. He followed behind him through the hallway, and by the time Abel had knocked, Yoon was at his side, audible heavy breaths escaping the woman that tried to prevent them from being heard.

Moments later after the cracked door was knocked, the two individuals were greeted by Ms. Park, who had changed into more comfortable clothing after today's hassle. Her worried eyes softened once they met with Yoon's apologetic ones. And instead of yelling at her like she usually would, all she did was expand a grateful smile. "Some reason me thought you had been kidnapped!" She expressed with great relief when her thought was proved wrong.

Yoon stayed quiet for a minute before she spoke. "...N-No, I'm fine, mom. We're fine, we were just, uhh... hanging out...?" That sounded weird coming from her.

"Oh!" Kyung-ha smiled, clearly all her worry being washed away with these news. She was happy that the two individuals she held close to her heart were finally getting along. "You had fun?" She asked them both.

"By definition of the term I think "fun" would be a considerable stretch," Abel was the first to answer, having remained quiet when Kyung-ha was speaking to Yoon. But he watched the mother closely, even more so than he had before. "In fact–" he was preparing to inform her of Yoon's actions and where she was as well as how it came to be. But then his eyes moved to glance at Yoon out of the corner of them. And instead, he chose to remain silent about it. "In fact, I might have underestimated her..."resilience"." he finished the sentence he had started. He went on to add, "But we have come to a mutual understanding and have fond common ground. I will be arriving tomorrow morning to retrieve her for an excursion of sorts and desired to relay this in person if it will be no trouble to you."

Yoon held her breath when Abel began to talk, awaiting her doom. She closed her eyes just as he was about to relay the information, but when he switched the subject, her eyes opened and her expression softened in disbelief.

Kyung-ha's eyes squinted at Abel. It was the same squint she gave him when he was younger whenever he was caught in lies. And to this day, she used that squint on both her children. "Hmmmmm...." She observed him, then Yoon, then him again. "You certainly did hang out with Yoonie since her personality of lying, or rather avoiding information has washed off on you." But contrary to her scolding him like she would have in her early years, all she did was chuckle. "My eyes squinty but ears work just fine. I hear everything." She gave as a light reminder to the two individuals she loved dearly, before her attention centered on Abel. "You no keep important information from your teacher, Abel-pie."

She leaned forward and unexpectedly thumped Yoon on the forehead quite hard. "And you no escape from your own house, dumdum."

"--ow!" Yoon rubbed at her forehead with a huff.

"Thank you Abel-pie for taking care of my Yoonie." She grabbed Yoon by her collar and was prepared to give her a lecture once they were inside. And then she grinned. "I tell you she'd wash off on you, no?" She shrugged innocently. But then her head perked some at the last of his words. "Oooh, yes, no trouble at all." Kyung-ha was glad Abel had relayed this information beforehand. "I make Yoonie wear nice clothes just for you--"

"--MOM!"

"Oi!" Kyung-ha nudged Yoon's embarrassment aside. "Have nice rest of day and floss teeth!" She reminded Abel with a motherly smile. "Come, come Yoon, let's go inside." She made her way in.

Yoon stood there with flushed cheeks against the door. Her eyes left her mom's and went to Abel's giving an awkward smile at him. "heh..." She squeaked. "umm.... I--"

"--YOON PARK!"

Yoon cringed at her mom yelling, ignoring her for just a few seconds more. "U-Uh, th-thank you--and I'm sorry to have t-troubled you today." She sincerely apologized. "U-Uhhh, I can make it up tomorrow with ice cream or--" She stopped naming junkfood because of what he said earlier. "O-Or you know, those cold pressed juices." Yoon almost gagged in disgust as she said those words. "A-Anyways, u-uhhmmm..." She blushed. "Have a nice day---o-or rest of the day o-or night o-or have a nice drive--" Yoon bit her cheek to stop herself from rambling. "B-BYE!" She quickly entered the apartment and closed it, smacking her forehead against the wall when she had the chance.

When Kyung-ha had told him not to keep information from her, Abel didn't really say anything pertaining to it. Instead, he continued to watch in silence while he wasn't being spoken to. Seeing Yoon be scolded lightly was somewhat of a treat to watch, especially after what had happened prior back at the hotel.
"It is my pleasure, Kyung-ha," he replied to the mother when she had given him her thanks for him looking after Yoon. But what she said prior to that about Yoon rubbing off on him in some manner caused his brows to furrow somewhat in thought.

His attention was recaptured when Kyung-ha mentioned that she would make Yoon dress nicely, which to him translated as more tidy than her current attire. And as he was reminded to floss, he gave her a acknowledging nod that he would keep it in mind. "I wish you a pleasant day as well," he told her.

He was about to leave like he usually did, but noticed that Yoon was still at the door with her awkward smile and rosy cheeks burning with the embarrassment from her mother's words. But it was when she apologized to him again, his brows lifted very subtly in surprise. That, and watching her stammer along afterward she did so caused an ever so small amount of curiosity to stir within him. "I'll arrive in the morning," he reminded her again once she had managed to stop her rambling. And when she closed the door finally, he stood there for a second or so.

The man felt strange in a sense that he couldn't entirely grasp. Something that he could only compare to the definition of what he used to know as warmth. But when he clenched his fist and felt nothing, he wrote it off as it being time for him to put his body to rest. And so he turned around and took his leave.

However, there was a spark that had tried to light inside the man. Yet all it could do was end in a wisp of smoke.

As if Abel's manhandling and insults weren't enough, Yoon received an almost two hour lecture on why what she had done today was absurd and dangerous. At some point, she almost fell asleep on the couch while listening to her mother who was pacing back and forth. But she immediately caught this and threw a pillow at her to wake her.

Yoon jolted from the small couch. "Okay mom, I get it. I'm not going to escape again. I promise." She said wearily. But as her mother responded with a new set of rules, her mind couldn't help but rewind what had happened today since the moment she fell unconscious. And the more she focused on her unconscious state, the more she was able to remember. And when she finally recalled calling Abel her father, she smacked her forehead and groaned helplessly.

Kyung-ha paused, finally seeing a genuine reaction from Yoon about what she assumed to be what she spoke of. That was enough to make her stop talking for the moment. She eventually sighed and dismissed her daughter. "Oke oke, you free to go now. No more doing silly things, oke?"

Yoon lifted her head, a small flush on her cheeks. "h-huh? Oh... yeah okay, thanks..." She stood up from the couch and made her way into her room. She was relieved to see her duffle bag on her bed, where she soon joined it on the bouncy mattress. She retrieved her computer from underneath her bed, logging on to see how she would entertain herself until 3AM this time. However, instead of finishing one of the recent animes she was watching, she found herself searching for "Abel Nicholi" on Instagram, Facebook, and even Discord. Yoon frowned when she saw no results, wondering what kind of person didn't own a social media account. She knew she wasn't one to talk since she wasn't really social, but that didn't stop her from following funny dog and cat memes. And as she scrolled through her feed, only then did she notice she got a friend request.

Kore_Mellas has requested to follow you.

Yoon blinked at her screen. The last time she had gotten a follow request was from Lauren, which was months ago. However, with a closer look at their profile, Yoon was able to recognize the pink-haired lady from the gas station. She debated whether or not to accept her, for she had felt an off feeling earlier when she was in the same room with her. But something in her head told her she was just being a scaredy-cat. And with that haunting her mind, she accepted her request before setting her phone aside.

NICO-NICO NIIIIIII!

Within minutes, Yoon received a notification. It was a message from Kore.

"Heya~" The screen read. Yoon stared blankly at the screen, debating on what to reply next, even if it was a simple hello. But she refrained from doing so, at least for now. She distracted herself by entering Abel's name on google to see if anything familiar would pop up.

Sammy clapped her hands together loudly all of a sudden, almost taking Raven off guard if not that she was slowly easing up to Sammy's own strange personality, Sammy exclaiming excitedly, "That sounds like an awesome idea, Rave. I'm down to check out anything you got. Are we gonna go to a theater or are we gonna watch something on DVD like a real gang?" Sammy couldn't help but snicker at the thought, though she was a bit interested in seeing what Raven preferred in this instance, mostly because she wanted to show off one of her favorite films that she carried in the little DVD bag Mason and her carried around

Mason was back in the dining room, having watched at least five videos on the fighting game, drinking an unsweetened tea to quench what he called the "Thirst of failure". As he was watching, he asked Dean, "Dean, was it? Can I ask you a question? How the hell is Raven not a pro player or something? She was able to beat me in seconds. I'm not exactly a champ myself, I'm actually quite pathetic, but those moves, those combos, that's not an ordinary victory. That was complete domination!"

Upon Yoon typing Abel's name into the search bar, the only things that came up through the search was almost everything that Yoon wouldn't be looking for. Videos about someone guy named Nicholi Rogatkin who was doing tricks on bikes and clearly wasn't Abel. Another irrelevant search was a video interviewing someone named Nicholi White. There was even an animal crossing video that led to Youtube that was even more irrelevant. Things about Nicholas the 2nd and links from books.google.com and Russian czars.

And out of all of that, out of all of the available pages, there was nothing at all on the man that was known as Abel Nicholi.

~

Raven jumped in surprise when Sammy suddenly clapped, the sound of it having a faint echo within the room and the expression on her face one of obvious confusion. She wasn't even sure of what she had done to get clapped at, but found seconds later that this wasn't the case and that Sammy looked excited. And with her idea being approved, she still felt a little confused. After pulling her thoughts together, she decided that she would have rather watched movies where they were. "Well we got DVDs and tapes," she said. "And I have Netflix," she added. She also had Hulu for reasons that she wasn't even sure of other than some good stuff to watch being on there every once in a while. "We can chill here I guess–if you wanna. Wait, what about the big guy though?"

~

Dean looked up from wiping one of the tables clean when Mason had said his name. "Yep, that's me," he answered, and with Mason's question he grinned some knowingly. "Oh so she got you too huh?" He snickered. "She is pretty freakin' good for a girl. I've told her a bijillion times that she should try to go pro or something but she's all shy and weird and stuff–but she's awesome. She's kinda freaked out by attention sometimes, so I guess that might be why she doesn't try the whole pro thing. But yeah, she's really good."
