Katsuki: This'll be the only time I ask this of you... *He said, getting Yatsufusa from Kurome* I do apologize for introductions, I usually like to give a better first impression.
Akame: Yeah, though I'm not entirely sure what that was. Katsu is actually a lot more friendlier than you think.

Najenda nodded, "There's just some things that still need to be done. We apologize you had to witness it like that..."
"If that was him now, I can only imagine how it went with Honest....." Kairi thought.
Wave scratched the back of his head, "It's fine, the most we can really do is take your word.. If I can trust you with Kurome then I'll have no doubt about you. What's with taking her Imperial Arm anyways?"

Katsuki: It's a cautionary procedure.... It's just to hang on to it until her treatment is completed.... With the way the Empire did that, it's possible for anything to happen... That's why I'm holding on to it for the time being... Once her treatment is complete, she'll have it back... You have my word....
Run: You think you can cure it? Do you really think you can?
Katsuki: ...... You've got something you need to say angel boy?
Run: Kurome can't be cured, she can't be brought back from it...
Katsuki: I know exactly what you're trying to do.... Trying to get in my head... Let me tell you... As someone who's relied on a special something to bring myself back... Its way easier than you think.
Run: Mentally unstable? And you're sure you're fit to lead?
Katsuki: I'll do much better than the bloodshed that the Jaegers has caused...

Kairi thought to herself, "Is he talking about....?"
"Katsu will do much better than all the bloodshed the previous Empire has caused all together, even before the Jaegers were formed." Kairi said, quick to help defend him. "The new prime minister, Najenda, and I have been around him for long enough to say that he's in best shape to be taking this position and we trust him enough to leave Kurome in his hands. Everyone is fine with this decision." She walked up to Run, putting her hands on her hips. "You may disagree all you like because realistically there's nothing you can do. You'll only be proven wrong in the end regardless, and you're already in a bad position as it is."

Katsuki: Heh, and that you are.... Akame...
Akame: Got it.... *She then walked to Run, unsheathing Murasame to cut Run and immediately sheathing it to walk back to Katsu's side*
Katsuki: One Cut Killer, Murasame... As much as I'd love to just kill you quick, I'll let the poison do it for us....
Run: You....
Katsuki: *He then looked to Kairi* So, when would you like your duel to happen?
Esdeath: You have a look of confidence, like you've won....
Katsuki: .... Just be grateful that I hadn't executed you immediately Es... [Though, I've merely prolonged her execution.]

Kairi closed her eyes, thinking of her response. Taking on Esdeath previously made her anxious, but now with the time coming closer and closer, she only itched for it more. She then opened her eyes, ".... Tonight.. I'll have the duel happen tonight."
"Are you sure, Kairi? We can always set it for sometime tomorrow if you'd prefer," Najenda suggested.
Kairi shook her head and then looked to Esdeath, "It's happening tonight. No purpose of keeping her around for any longer... And I have no wish to wait longer either. Besides, even after hunting down Wild Hunt, I'm sure her bloodlust craves for more....." Kairi grinned, "Isn't that right, Esdeath?"

Esdeath: *She showed a small grin Kairi mentioned her bloodlust* You know me oh so well.... Don't worry, when I'm done.... I'll ensure Lord Katsuki knows that feeling... I know that Imperial Arm of yours, it's starving for more...
Katsuki: I'll need you to refrain..... I have no intention of being with you, not even in a million years..
Esdeath: *When she heard that, it struck a chord with her. She could see now that he intended with Kairi, which further drove her* That won't matter, once this duel is done.. You'll see..

Esdeath was beginning to irk Kairi again, "You're gonna have to start watching your damn mouth... Once this duel is done, none of that is happening. Whether it's Katsu or my own life, you won't be taking anything else from me." She smirked, "But, don't worry... I'll make sure you'll end with one hell of a fight.. Since I'm sure you're familiar with what the mark of Kurai is......."
"Mark of Kurai..?" Wave was in thought, "Kurai.. Kurai... Why does that sound familiar to me? ...... Oh wait! That was on behalf of the Akamine Clan, no? Only one member was compatible with an Imperial Arm, Kurai.. But, that was long ago already, weren't they all killed?"

Esdeath: I knew there was something familiar about you.... So, you bear HER mark then... *She got that ice cold look in her eye alongside that menacing grin* Perfect, then I'll make sure you suffer.. Just like your clan did... This time, I won't fail.... And I especially won't allow my Lord Katsuki to be with someone of such a weak bloodline.
Katsuki: *He gritted his teeth, but held himself back as he restrained himself from going any further* You'll cease this at once.... You'll stay in your quarters until the time comes.... You won't come out a second sooner...
Esdeath: Of course, *She then turned her back* Once you see, you’ll understand... *She said as she began to leave, her boots echoing through as she walked*
Katsuki: *He closed his eyes, then sighing* I'm telling you Kairi, if it weren't for you... I would've killed her from the start...

"Weak bloodline, huh..?" Kairi clenched her fists but she took deep breath to calm herself down, "I'm glad you haven't done anything, Katsu... She's the last of what we have to deal with and I'm not keeping that damned woman alive any longer.... I.. just have one more thing to ask of you.." Kairi then looked to Katsuki, "I want you to promise me one thing... No matter what direction the duel goes in, no matter what condition either of us are in... You have to promise me you won't interfere, Katsu.."

Katsuki: *His eyes widened* No matter what direction... Kairi, you're asking me to just sit back.... *It began to put the thought into his head, if he sat back and didn't interfere and the duel ended the unintended way, he knew it felt wrong* I don't want to have that thought in my head, I just......
Akame: Katsu......
Katsuki: ........ *He closed his eyes tightly at first, gritting his teeth. He then let it go* Fine, but only if you promise to absolutely take her down... You're not dying here... Because the Akamine clan line doesn't have to end with you. Even when she's gone, the clan can still continue....
Sheele: Hold on...... Is he..?
Akame: Did he just...?

Najenda looked to him, "Katsuki?"
"Of course, I promise you that I will absolutely take her down! But... Katsu.." Kairi was starting blush, "I guess it doesn't have to end with me.... But, w- what are you trying to say..?"

Katsuki: I........ *He scratched his head* Do you remember when I said I wanted to have a kid someday.......... Well, at some point in the future..... I want you to carry our heir..... *He said, his face turning red* [No way I just asked her that, this soon?]

"K- Katsu.... Do you really..?" Kairi's face began turning red too, then quickly turning around away from him. "Maybe that's something we can talk about together a little more.. privately..." Kairi turned to face Katsuki again and went up to him, putting both of his hands in hers. She smiled, "But... I can tell you that we can do just that. I promise you that I'll come out of this ok, so you don't have to worry.. Alright, Katsu?"

Katsuki: *He then began to look a bit more reassured* Alright, thank you Kairi... And uh.... I'm sorry I put you on the spot like that....
Akame: Well, it's the fact that you got your feelings out there, so I don't think you can be faulted for it.

Kairi nodded, "Yeah! So don't worry about it, it's ok Katsu... And we can talk about it more a little later on. But, for now I'm going to prepare myself until it's time..." She said, beginning to walk out the throne room. "Oh, and let Esdeath know to meet me at the coliseum when it's time.."
Wave watched her walk off and then looked back to Katsuki, "So... I'd assume you two are.. a thing then?"
Kurome punched his arm, "Let them be....."
Wave instantly rubbed where she hit him, "Ah, I was just asking!"

Katsuki: It's fine, we pretty much are.... She's been quite a bit of a pushing force for me....
Akame: Just.... Promise you're not going to play favorites on us...
Katsuki: Don't worry, I wouldn't do that... Aside from us being a thing, I promise I wouldn't play favorites.

"I doubt Kairi would enjoy the idea of you playing favorites anyways.." Najenda mentioned.
"Um, I'm sorry to bring this up again but... Earlier you mentioned that I'd be going on some sort of treatment.. What kind of treatment do you mean..? Or rather, when would I have to start it?" Kurome asked.

Katsuki: Ah, right... My apologies... Wave, could you escort Kurome to our med quarters? I'll have Ren catch up in there with you and he'll be able to help get you started with the treatment.

Wave gave him a thumbs up, "You can leave that to me! C'mon Kurome."
Kurome nodded and with that he walked out the throne room with Kurome beside him, taking her to the med quarters.

*Esdeath was waiting in Coliseum as per the message that Katsuki delivered. It was easy to tell on Esdeath that she had every intention on winning and taking Katsuki's side as well*
Esdeath: [I'm not going to allow her to stand by his side... But, if she's as strong as she says she is. This should be a very interesting fight.]

(Alright!)
Kairi was starting to make her way to the coliseum, "Today's finally the day.. I'm closer to this moment than ever and yet..... I almost don't feel anxious? I can feel the adrenaline rushing in me, but I almost don't hate it. I'm going to make sure I make it up to everyone... I'll make sure I'm the last one standing.." She smirked, "And, I guess this is my time to show off a little huh..?"
Soon, she arrived to the coliseum, her katana hanging across her back. "I see you made it here before me..." Her hand was then over the handle of her katana, "I guess you're just eager to end your days, hm?"

Esdeath: End my days? Please, I'm determined to claim my place where I belong.... I can kill a few different birds with one stone.... Kill you, end the Akamine clan once and for all and take my rightful place at Lord Katsuki's side.... *She placed her hand over the handle of her rapier*
*Katsuki was watching from above*
Katsuki: [Kairi..... You better win this.....]
Esdeath: The stage is set, this is where the curtain falls on your story...

Kairi unsheathed her katana, "I believe that line is rightfully mine, including the place at Katsuki's side. But, it's fine... You'll soon come to realize it."
"She wanted my bloodline weak, right? I'll demonstrate exactly what they were known for... In the meantime, I'll refrain from using my shadows. Without my Imperial Arm, I may have been on the weaker end of the family..." Kairi grinned, "But, that was all in the past."
She finally made the first move and dashed towards Esdeath, slashing her katana forward when she was close enough.

*As Kairi drew closer to her, she unsheathed her rapier and clashed with her, releasing a Shockwave around them, blowing the area around them*
Ren: Holy..... Who's power is that? Esdeath or Kairi's?
Katsuki: ...... It's both..... Their power..... Kairi's gotten stronger since the last time she's seen her...

The shockwave they released together sent a shiver down Kairi's spine, only exciting her even more than before. "Oh you have no idea how long I've been waiting for this...." Kairi jumped back to reposition herself after the clash. In a blink of an eye, she moved behind Esdeath to try to get in a slash from behind her.

Esdeath: [This girl..] *She quickly turned around and stopped her slash* My my.... It would seem you've become someone to watch out for now...... *She then grinned* Alright then! *She then deflected her slash and then went for a downward slash of her own*

Kairi smirked, "Oh, have I?" She quickly cartwheeled back to dodge the downward slash, kicking her leg up against Esdeath's jaw midway through. She jumped back to create distance between them again and pointed her katana towards Esdeath, "Then, are you interested in taking back the comment of calling my bloodline weak yet?~"

Esdeath: Hm, I have no such interest..... However, I know to give credit when it's due... You have gotten stronger...... But I think that's enough games now... *She moved her sword in a full circle motion, creating icicles and then shooting them*
Ren: Now she's using it.....
Katsuki: ..... [Kairi's ability isn't in her sword.... That's the common misconception here....]

"Enough games hm? You don't have to tell me twice!" Kairi followed suit with using her ability and continuously created shadow figures of herself to substitute with, the figures taking her place and the icicles shooting right through them. Once she was clear of the icicles, Kairi dashed towards Esdeath, dragging her katana in the ground. When she close enough, she swung her katana upward which was followed with a large shadow fist to also hit Esdeath.

Esdeath: *She used her ice to cushion a bit of the blow, but it still sent her back and she recovered quickly* There it is, now the fun really begins! Why don't you try dodging this! *She said as she stabbed her rapier into the ground creating a ice tundra heading for Kairi*

"See, that's the beauty of being able to do this at night.. I can make my shadows wherever I please!" Kairi almost got caught in the tundra, but last second made a shadow figure behind Esdeath to substitute with. With Kairi now behind her, she kicked Esdeath against her back, creating another shockwave and sending her towards the tundra she created. "Heh.." Kairi then made two shadow figures of herself and pointed her katana towards Esdeath, quickly sending both figures towards her to attack her.
"If Esdeath is also under the impression that my sword itself is the Imperial Arm, then she may try to knock it from me..." She grinned, "But, of course that's fine! That's the fun in it all."

Katsuki: Incredible....
Ren: She's really holding her own...
Katsuki: That's my Kairi.... You can't underestimate her...
Esdeath: *She felt the Shockwave as she was kicked against the tundra, then recovering to slice down the 2 shadow figures* It's good to see how strong you are, keep making this an enjoyable battle!!!

"Oh, I'll keep making sure it's an enjoyable battle for you!" Kairi slashed the air multiple times, each slash sending forward a shadow/darkness projectile in the direction of Esdeath. Each slash only grew more and more powerful as more of Kairi's anger went into each one. Following behind the projectiles, Kairi was dashing towards her again to attempt to land another hit herself, "But, I'll make sure it's your damn last! You'll pay for all of those lives you took from me!"

Esdeath: Is that so? Then I'll put an end this right now! *She then put both hands on her aword* I'll end it with this trump card! Now, Mahapdama!!! *As she shouted this, her trump card allowed her to freeze time. Stopping Kairi in her place... Or at least that's what she thought would happen. As she tried to go for a finishing blow, Kairi's dash made her too fast in the stopped time, and impossible to hit* There's no way.... How did she?! *Time resumed and she was downed to one knee* Damn it, that used too much....

"Nice try, Esdeath..." Kairi sheathed her katana and walked up to Esdeath, kneeling down on one knee to be on the same level as her. "How do you expect to take my place at Katsuki's side when you can't even achieve this? Here...." Kairi closed her eyes, activating her trump card as her body itself was beginning to become shadow-like, her hair slowly becoming black. She opened her eyes, staring at Esdeath. "Allow me to put this at an end for you.." Kairi was now able to create even more shadow figures, having them spread out all about the coliseum. She begun the chain by punching Esdeath towards one of the shadow figures, each figure then hitting her towards the next, all of this occuring way too quickly for Esdeath to even process. Kairi took the last hit, kicking her and crashing her up against a wall. She went up to her, unsheathing her katana again and holding the blade very close to Esdeath's heart, "Not once in a million years would I ever allow you to take place.. not after you took every single thing away from me.." She held onto the handle of her katana tightly, "Is there anything you want to say, Esdeath?"

Esdeath: I only die with a single regret...... That I couldn't get Katsuki to even see my way..... I let myself get lost in the moment...... So, I'll accept my fate....
Ren: She used her time stopping trump card... She must've thought she could end Kairi in it....

"As if you ever deserved that honor from the beginning." She gritted her teeth, "Even to the end, you've stayed the very same.... This is goodbye, Esdeath.." Kairi stabbed the katana right through Esdeath's heart and quickly pulled it out, flinging the blood off the blade. She looked up into the sky with a slight smile on her face, "You guys... May finally rest in peace now.." Kairi said, her body then returning back to normal and her hair returning back to it's white color. She then felt a pain run straight through her body, causing her to fall down on her knee. She placed her hand over her head, "Ah.. I guess I'm still not used to that form yet...."

Ren: So that's it..... Esdeath's end was bound to come sooner or later...
Katsuki: .... Come on, let's head down there.... *He headed down after Esdeath's death and defeat to see Kairi* Kairi... *He got down on his knee to her level* I'm guessing that was your trump card form... Are you gonna be alright?

Kairi nodded, "Yeah, I should be... It didn't last too long last this has happened.. Though, I don't know how well I can move right now, I may need help going back inside...." She closed her eyes, "I'm just happy it's done with..."

Katsuki: You dont have to worry, i got you..... *He then got her and began to carry her in a bridal style* I've got you...
Ren: *He had then headed down there with them* So, it's finally over..... [..... I know you're resting peacefully now... Knowing that she's done her part now... Not only that...] *He looked Kairi and Katsuki* [I think she's met a very suitable husband...]
Katsuki: Yeah..... *He looked at Esdeath's body* ...... Maybe in another life..... Maybe we could've been allies....
Ren: ...... Even if she had the mental fortitude to conquer her power..... She still had no idea..... It got to her head.....

With Esdeath gone and her mother and the rest of her family being able to rest peacefully, Kairi felt a lot warmer and relieved. as a whole. She blushed slightly as Katsuki carried her but then rested her head against his chest. "It is what it is now..." She looked away from Esdeath's body, "Even in another life, I don't think I'd want to imagine being allies with her...."

Katsuki: *He nodded* Sorry, I guess it was just a thought to me..... But..... I'm happy for you, ya know.... You were finally able to get that closure...
Ren: You made it this far, and you've done what you've set out to do.... Now you can live your life in peace.... Everything is beginning to go on the roadway to peace.....
Katsuki: Indeed, it hasn't been an easy road.... I doubt it'll get easier, but it's about time we begin to see more peaceful days....
Ren: Agreed.... Perhaps, I should begin to figure out the wedding plans... Besides, the way you're carrying her....
Katsuki: R-Ren.... *He said, blushing a bit* ....... Anyway, if you want to.... You can rest in the Emperor's quarters tonight.....
Ren: With you?
Katsuki: ...... *His face turned red after he thought about it*

"The honor of sleeping in the Emperor's quarters as well, hm..?" Kairi was beginning to blush, "I mean..... If you wouldn't mind me resting with you..... There's no way I'd decline that offer.."

Katsuki: I wouldn't mind at all....
Ren: Hold on.... So.... You two...
Katsuki: Ren, please....
Ren: Hey, as I've said... I've seen my fair share of couples.... However, when they share a bed... Well... It just all goes from there...

Kairi was beginning to blush even more, "Ren if you keep going, I'm going to have to think twice about bringing up that wedding invitation again.."

Ren: Hey, I'm only speaking my truth here....
Katsuki: ......
Ren: Relax, you two are adults.... You can do whatever you want.... If hormones take over, I'm not one to stop you.... *He said walking away*
Katsuki: *He sighed* Alright then, time to go....
*Katsuki then took Kairi to his new room. He then laid her down on the bed. He then helped her to get her boots off*
Katsuki: Is there.... Anything else I can get you?

Kairi looked around the quarters in fascination and then back to Katsuki as he placed her on the bed. She blushed from how he treated her, "I think I'm ok with everything, thank you Katsu.." She then thought about it, "Hmm though after all that, I think a bath would be nice... Is.. that ok?"

Katsuki: That's fine, you just lay there.... I'll start to run it for you.... *He then headed into the bathroom and began to run the bath, letting it begin to fill* Oh... *He went back* Did you want it warm, close to hot?

Kairi did what he said, just relaxing and laying on the bed as he ran the bath for her. She nodded, "Yeah.. Warm, close to hot is good. It'll help ease up my body a bit..."
